First rate, tranquil and comfortable with a most generous welcome hamper too. Easy to find yet tucked away from the rat-race. I will definitely return.

Excellent peaceful location but cottage didn’t meet the normal Rural Retreats standard. Generous welcoming hamper but kitchen very small and we were unable to open the kitchen window in what turned out to be a very hot few days, and there were few basic cooking utensils. Also bathroom very dated and the lack of a proper shower made washing difficult and toiletries were pretty scant. The weather was hot during our stay and although not the fault of the cottage this meant the heat in the main bedroom was unbearable so we spent the nights trying to sleep in a single bed in a very cramped downstairs room. The window wouldn’t open or shut properly in this room. Also although a nice room with good views the television in the lounge wasn’t really big enough for the size of the room. One of the lamps in this room wasn’t working. The exterior was also in need of some improvements and part of the roof looked in a bad state. The location was nice but we would not go back to this cottage.
