" The church bells opposite were a bit of a nuisance ringing out the hours every hour throughout the night. The only drawback was the lack of a downstairs or even outside loo. "
    Mrs Revell ‐ 1 Sep 2018
"As there were three of us, the two en-suite bathrooms were a real bonus. Only drawback was lack of a washing machine which would have been useful as, like most people visiting the Cheviots, we were there for the walking and it can be muddy at times!"
    - A FlipKey verified reviewer, August 2014
"Fabulous cottage, fantastic location. Very well equipped and homely. Decorated to a very high standard. Not really suitable for dog owners though as no outside area to let our four legged friend out but that did not bother us too much as we are walkers and there were lots of walks starting right from the cottage door taking us up over the hills with amazing views. The cottage is very well situated in the lovely village of Wooler with several pubs within walking distance. Overall we would definitely recommend this cottage and if we every return to the area, will definitely consider it again."

"We booked this for my daughters wedding in Wooler, we had extended family coming and going all week there was loads of sitting space, a fair sized table to finish off wedding cakes and other wedding crafts, the bedrooms were lovely and my grandchildren stayed over a few nights even though they live in Wooler. My son and his girlfriend eventually came to stay nearer the day and loved their room. There was enough room downstairs for the parents in law, grandparents in law and other members of the family to get together almost every night for a chinwag, we never felt crowded and everyone commented on how nice the cottage was. I would definitely go back again"

"We stayed in this cottage having trawled through numbers of sites with what we felt were reasonably limited criteria. This included open fire, king size beds, nice photos with fresh look about hem from photos,. this cottage although on a road was in Wooler a nice village with shops and amenities available and quite a few buses although we used a car. It was possible to take the bus even in early January. House nicely appointed for winter, limited outside space but we weren't bothered by this. Bedrooms nice with good linen, odd arrangement of en suite bathrooms to each of the two rooms with no doors but with some timing agreements privacy was sorted out. Nice kitchen , No cafetiere and when I asked was told the owner drank instant coffee! Limited crockery, cutlery and glasses but we coped . Would stay again."
    - Mrs Dillard, August 2015
"The property is decorated to a good standard and is overall very comfortable."
    - Mr Holt, August 2016
"This roomy, tastefully furnished but cosy and comfortable cottage was the perfect base for exploring the Northumbrian coast and even venturing up to Edinburgh for the fringe."
    - Miss Harbottle, March 2017
"Lovely comfortable beds and excellent on suites"
    - Mrs Yates, June 2017
"Lack of door on bathroom s was a little disappointing. Great position to head off In all directions to explore. Washing machine instead of dishwasher would have been more useful for a two week holiday."
    Mr Tim Potter, Cranbrook, Kent
"Church View was a nice spacious cottage in a good location."
    - Mr Godman, August 2018
"Church View Cottage was perfect. Much more spacious than you could ever imagine from the photographs or even the exterior. The bedrooms were large and both well appointed - each having an en suite shower room. Beds were large and comfortable. The open plan lounge, kitchen diner worked really well and was very comfortable and well equipped. Everything we needed for our holiday was present and the cottage was immaculately clean. Just two very minor issues- the Wi Fi was temperamental - which pleased the adults but did not please our 11 year old daughter! Also some guidance about which bins were being emptied an which dates would have been helpful. However these are VERY minor niggles. So much to do locally and we really enjoyed eating at the Black Bull hotel. Thank you for a really excellent stay."
    - Mrs Smallwood, September 2018
"Pubs rather tired, only one restaurant... Milano ... worth visiting, friendly people everywhere and everything positive. Recommended without reservation."
    - Mrs Yates, June 2017

    - Mr Morton, September 2017
"2 places to eat in the village are the Anchor for good pub food and The Milan restaurant which we can fully recommend"
    - Mr Davies, April 2018
"However, there were a couple of drawbacks. A hairdryer would have been useful. Perhaps there should have been more mugs and cups, but these are very small issues. A very nice place to spend the week, with all amenities on hand."
    - Mrs Atkinson, June 2018
"Crockery and cutlery a little basic but just sufficient. Wooler Common was great for walking the dogs. The main disappointment was the shared yard which was squalid. An effort had been made at some stage to make it appealing but it is now covered in green mould, dead leaves, debris and it is smelly. I would not book this cottage again because of that yard."
    - Mr Chambers, July 2018
"Property could be improved by the addition of doors on the ensuites Great cottage in excellent position for visiting Northumberland."
