The cottage benefits from the beauty of the ever-changing sights stretching across the undulating countryside of Mid Wales, across to Llanllwni Mountain, with heathland reaching towards the popular Brechfa Forest, criss-crossed with footpaths and perfect for a day out cycling. Alternatively, why not take a short drive to the beautiful beaches and coves of Cardigan Bay, renowned for its diverse wildlife, with the coastline peppered with pretty towns and harbour villages? The area offers numerous outdoor activities, such as dolphin and wildlife spotting boat trips, the Wales Coast Path, fishing and canoeing, as well as being a short drive from the Preselli Hills and the Pembrokeshire National Park. Slightly further afield, you can visit the Wildlife Trust Centre, where different environments merge into marshlands alongside the River Teifi, or the nearby stretch of Poppit Sands Beach. There are numerous National Trust properties, with the idyllic and tranquil beach of Penbryn, the working farm at Llanerchaeron and the Dolaucothi Gold Mines all a short drive away. An idyllic retreat with breathtaking views to the distant mountains, yet close to popular market towns.

Lampeter is the smallest and oldest university town in Wales, and boasts a fine selection of small, locally-owned shops.
