A charming mid-terrace, single-storey cottage, forming part of a former mid-19th century stable block, situated within easy walking distance of the centre of the village of Belford. Recently re-opened (July 2023) after renovation with new kitchen and bathroom. Full of character and comfort, Stable Cottage boasts a fabulous open plan living area with original open roof trusses and cast iron wood-burning stove, along with two cosy bedrooms overlooking a sheltered rear courtyard and lawned garden below.
Further down from the lawned area is a small paddock, which is home to the owners’ hens and sometimes sheep too.
The village of Belford offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, while the cottage is also ideally situated for exploring the delightful coastal village of Bamburgh, Northumberland's beautiful Heritage Coast, Holy Island and the Scottish Borders. Newcastle and Edinburgh are easily accessible for day trips.

Belford is an ancient village, having been in existence since before medieval times. The centre of the village is the market square with its cross dating back around 300 years. Today it is a quiet village which gives visitors easy access to the Northumberland Coast, the Cheviot Hills and the Scottish Borders. Belford itself has a variety of smaller interesting shops as well as the usual shops and facilities available in a large village. During the month of August, a continental market takes place in the centre of the village and gives it a real carnival atmosphere. Overlooked by the magnificent 18th century Belford Hall and only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village is Belford Golf Club, a 9-hole golf course which features a driving range, motorised cart hire and excellent bar facilities.

Comfy beds, fabulous shower, well equipped kitchen. The log burner is lovely for atmosphere but itâs not needed for warmth. Great communication from the owners before our stay. For light sleepers, the curtains are thin in the bedrooms, which in February was no problem because thereâs hardly any artificial light outside (great for star gazing), but in the summer Iâd imagine eye masks would definitely be needed. Weâll definitely use this cottage again and would highly recommend it.

The Christmas decorations added to our enjoyment and fresh eggs from the owners The only disappointment we had was the lack of pressure in the shower ⦠impossible washing long hair , which we both have. I was looking forward to the shower as I moved six months ago and have been living in ABB. However this would not prevent me from booking again providing pressure was attended to. I must add this cottage had it been on the market⦠I would have been the first to put an offer in
