Surrounding this Shatterford cottage are a number of public footpaths and bridleways, as well as the North Worcestershire Way. The hamlet of Shatterford boasts a local inn with excellent restaurant, and the nearby the village of Arley offers a shop with Post Office and tea room. The Wyre Forest, one of the largest ancient woodlands in the country, lies just a short distance away and is a haven for wildlife, flora and fauna, and provides many walks and cycle routes to suit all abilities. The riverside market town of Bewdley offers an excellent selection of shops, cafes and pubs, as well as the Severn Valley Railway. The scattered Worcestershire hamlet of Shatterford lies in unspoilt countryside, close to the village of Kinver, the towns of Bewdley and Stourbridge and four miles north of Kidderminster on the edge of the Wyre Forest. The Wyre Forest is a designated sssi and National Nature Reserve and offers visitors lovely walks and cycle trails and is home to many rare species of wildlife, flora and fauna. The riverside village of Kinver boasts black and white buildings, individual shops, pubs, tea rooms and an award-winning brewery. Nearby are the towns of Bewdley and Stourbridge, the Severn Valley Railway, West Midlands Safari Park, Cadbury World and the Black Country Living Museum.
