"Lovely cottage and well equipped. The owner made sure that we had some basic food to start things off and the fruit loaf was so nice. I didn't realise it was pet friendly and I am usually allergic to dogs but I didn't have any problems so the cleaning must have been really good. It was a perfect base to visit Lincoln, Skegness and Mablethorpe. The kids loved it."

"Beautiful cottage well kept fantastic views and garden. Lots of restrictions on where dog can go, which are difficult to accede to. Only real concern is that front and backdoor key's on the same ring, if there was a fire during the night you could easily become trapped, especially in the downstairs bedroom as none of the Windows open enough to allow exit anywhere in the house. As stated though the cottage was lovely and well maintained and the little extras were very thoughtful. Neighbour extremely friendly also and Eric the Newfoundland too. Just watch out for the horseflies as got bitten twice and had to go to Doctors."

"We really enjoyed our time at Bocott cottage. The quality of the cottage and amenities was exceptional. I would not hesitate in recommending it. I may well be booking it again next year."

"This is a great little place but probably better for adults / older kids than our family with a (very active and fast moving!) 2 year old and 6 year old. The garden is technically 'fully enclosed', however I was disappointed to see that there was a side gate on the front that would easily be opened by a small child and the driveway gates also weren't able to be locked shut in a way that made them child safe. There is also some spaces beside the gates that a sly little one or animal could squeeze through. And being on a fairly quiet, but certainly not deserted, open road speed limit area it made the outside far less usable than I would've hoped as we couldn't let the kids play outside whilst in the kitchen for instance. A shame as it's a decent space and I was looking forward to making use of the outside space. It would also have been good to have some kids outside play equipment of some kind perhaps - even a couple of footballs would've been good but a trampoline / climbing frame even better! Perhaps an idea for the future if the owners wish to appeal to younger families. There was no dishwasher which I personally would've preferred to the washing machine that is provided but I guess for others it may not be an issue. I would've also liked to see a bath mat in the downstairs shower room and to have seen extra towels available. These are obviously small things but it is the small things that can make a real difference! :-)Overall though the cottage is well equipped, the beds comfortable and the owner Rob was very friendly and helpful and did assist quickly with any issues we had and it was a nice base to get out and about in the area. I think there are some great markets around but not really something you can do with a two year old! LOL! Shame as would've loved to do that. Nearby Lincoln was lovely and the beach was only a short 30min drive away though we made the mistake of visiting Skegness which I wouldn't do again! We later found a much quieter beach area which was much more enjoyable. I understand there is good walking around but we didn't do any of those. Rand farm was worth a visit too.Although we wouldn't stay here again it is more a case of we wouldn't particularly feel the need to come to this area again than the cottage in particular."

"Lovely cottage in a peaceful location, yet ideally placed to visit lots of places. Lincoln, louth & Market Rasen just a few places within easy reach. Cottage was very clean and well maintained. Thanks to Rob, the owner, for a guided tour of the cottage and the welcome goodies, especially the Plum bread.I would recommend Bocott Cottage to friends."

"Bocott Cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The welcome package, including Tea, Milk, Sugar, Bread, Butter, Cake and even an Easter Bunny was gratefully received. The description of the property was accurate and the owner being there to greet us, show us round and provide the necessary information was most helpful. The tourist information leaflets were a great help in deciding what to see and do in the area."
