The Wain House in Shropshire offers a tranquil and picturesque setting for a holiday, with many guests praising its peaceful location, comfortable beds, and cleanliness. The property's hot tub, games room, and welcoming touches such as cake and wine are frequently mentioned as highlights. While some guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the majority found the cottage to be a delightful place to stay, with a friendly housekeeper and thoughtful extras enhancing their experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Cleanliness received mixed reviews. While many guests found the property spotless and well-maintained, a few raised concerns about dust, cobwebs, and cleanliness in specific areas. The positive remarks, however, outnumber the negative ones, indicating a generally high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and scenic views, with guests appreciating the peaceful surroundings and proximity to walking areas and sightseeing spots. The remote nature of the property is seen as a positive aspect, contributing to a relaxing experience.

Guests frequently compliment the comfort of the accommodation, mentioning comfortable beds and high-quality bed linen. Some minor feedback was given regarding the size of dining chairs and the temperature in the lounge, but overall, the property is regarded as very comfortable.

Facilities like the hot tub, games room, and gym are well-received, with many guests enjoying these amenities. However, there were comments about the need for more private garden space, mismatched cutlery, and issues with shower temperature control. The maintenance of the games room was also criticised, suggesting room for improvement.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is frequently acknowledged, with guests mentioning the welcome gifts of cake, wine, and other essentials. It is important to note that while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely warm property for this February stay (2024). The hot tub was very clean and we used it each day. Plenty of hot water and good showers. My recommendation for the property would be to increase the freezer size in the kitchen which limited our storage a little bit, but not too bad.

Welcome pack a lovely gesture, very clean, hot tub was the best I've been in. Only negative was the directions, all in our party got lost and we also found out the people in the other cottages also found it hard to find.

Lots of space for 6 and enough wardrobes etc. We only stayed for 2 nights but a week would be great. Lots of utensils and pans etc in kitchen. Bathroom and kitchen tiles need a bit of TLC but all areas were clean. We didn’t use the games room but the hot tub was really nice and the temperature was perfect. There are quite a few holiday lets on the farm so quite a few other people around the car park areas but once inside the house you don’t notice. It was very warm and snug. Nice welcome with cake and wine. We would come again with friends or family . Such a lot to do in the area. Very good contact from owner/ management team with useful information and quick responses. Thank you
