Anvil Cottage is a hidden gem in the heart of this picturesque Cotswolds town. This quaint cottage is tucked away in a quiet area of Churchill, not far from the charming towns of Chipping Norton and Stow on the Wold. The home's interior is a good size for its purpose, providing a relaxing environment for a family of four in its two upstairs bedrooms with attached bathrooms and its downstairs living room and kitchen. The living room has a traditional wood burning stove for warmth and doors leading out to the garden creating a homely ambience; the kitchen is well and fully equipped, but with such a great pub right across the street and others in the nearby villages, you may decide to splurge on a regular basis! Additionally, there is a conservatory that looks out onto the garden, which features lovely cottage-style planting and is an excellent compliment to the home's design. Just beyond the garden's gates is a fantastic playing field complete with a sizable open area, cricket pitch, and a modest playground. This welcoming cottage in a picturesque Cotswolds town is ideal for a wonderful holiday.
Churchill, Oxfordshire is a short drive away from the ancient town of Chipping Norton. Chipping Norton boasts a popular weekly market, numerous book and antique shops, many cafes, restaurants and pubs serving excellent food and local ales, art galleries, a museum and a thriving theatre. We liked its character, garden and location. Convenient for walks and the Cotswolds. There was everything that we needed for the perfect break. It was nice to meet the owners who were very friendly and provided a generous welcome basket.

Easy access to the rest of the Cotswolds.

The washer/dryer the dryer was not at all good and we wasted hours of electricity getting clothes dry. The only other thing i would say was a negative would be that all the pillows were soft and this is the first place i have stayed in that did not have a mixture of hard and soft. The cottage itself is quaint, ideally situated, very central and warms up really fast. Just those few niggly details.
