Outside, the mature walled country garden with furniture offers a quiet spot to settle with a refreshing drink and enjoy a relaxing afternoon watching the wildlife. Doorstep footpaths lead to unspoilt walking trails on Snowdonia's Carneddau mountain range, and enthusiastic cyclists will find many miles of steep, twisting country roads to challenge. Whatever you choose, this superb cottage is perfect for a peaceful holiday or an active adventure.

The cottage is in a spectacular location and perfect for exploring Snowdonia, either a short walk to the mountains and rivers or a short drive to lakes. The cottage has great character and is very welcoming, clean and cosy. Everything needed for a short stay is provided and the views from the kitchen and deck area are spectacular. Very quiet and peaceful day and night. Great job by the cottage owners - pleasant decor, plenty of books and guides, maps - too many great small touches to mention!

Perfect location for us - rural and very quiet. We had lovely weather and made full use of the terrace of and bbq. We also enjoyed feeding the birds in the garden and attracted many different species. Surrounded by mountains - so peaceful - a perfect week away. Thank you Sasha and Tom.

However this was mainly because of the beautiful surroundings. The cottage is situated on the outer border of the town so that when you walk further up the hill you are in the wild and free. This was a huge plus. Big minus was the price of the cottage against the quality. The couch was old and with stains, in the bathroom was a lamp broken, from the stove was one knob gone, no bbq utensils, the dryer was broken, the wifi was not steady, the deck has a beautiful view but no relaxing chairs. All these things were already known to the owners but weren't solved. Against the high price of the cottage this was very disappointing because you expect a higher standard. Also big minus was the fact that its only possible to pay your booking by creditcard when booking from the netherlands. For this the owner reimbursed the extra costs when i complained which was very friendly. Not all owners would do this. A nice, simple but cosy cottage situated on a beautiful spot, perfect to make walks starting at your front door. The deck has a wonderful view of the mountains. Easy to drive into the village (very steep narrow drive up the hill) for groceries and take away. 15 minute drive to Bangor. Perfect for visiting North Wales and Anglesey. The worlds biggest zipline is in the same town. For fish and chips go to Y Mabinogion Fish & Chips. For icecream go to Alma's Cafe in Llanfairfechan where you also must visit the Aber Falls. Wales is so beautiful and the People are so friendly. We will be back but not in this cottage.
