There's a sharp kerb up to the drive which can be a problem for low bodied cars like ours and the drive is only big enough for two vehicles. The house is spacious and has comfortable beds and chairs, and the heating made it cosy and warm. The grand piano would make it difficult to seat more than four people in the sitting room. The 1930s style and furniture and fittings are a novelty, but the house does need some TLC and upgrading in terms of quality of equipment and some of the decor in order to meet the usual standards of rented holiday accommodation today. Many people have commented on the tiny fridge freezer which is definitely not big enough for a house for 6 and WiFi is not an unreasonable expectation these days too. But we did enjoy our stay in Oxford which offers so much to visitors.

No internet is an issue when most venues want prebooking. Fridge/freezer is inadequate if you wish to eat in all week. the two toilets have no washbasin. some mattresses need replacement. some TLC needed throughout the house and its fittings

Easy for buses, local groceries and has nice walks nearby. Great especially if you have a car as access is easy and traffic relatively light (for Oxford!). We loved the period furnishings.
