The lodge was dirty, needed a total deep clean. Good facilities with tv with dvd player and hot tub. We took our 1 year old so pleased it had a bath. The sofas were a little small but can't really complain

Had a bumpy start to the holiday (not going into it as management are investigating) which once I spoke to staff they apologised and offered a form of compensation which was a nice gesture. The site had minimal WIFI even in the main, and there was none at all in our lodge -which we needed as we have a business and needed to access emails and other things, it also meant we couldn't watch Netflix or something when we were in for an evening due to heavy rain. (its the Lakes you expect rain!!) But a good old card game was fine. The site is large and we did feel very overlooked - as we could see in to the lodges opposite us and each lodge has big windows and the living room looks directly onto the facing lodge.. The hot tub wasn't very private either. That said if you have kids or there is a large group of you and you enjoy the club house type environment and entertainment then this offers all of this as well as a good play area and direct access to the lake. Our lodge was an older one but on entering the lodge it was nice -however on closer inspection there were cobwebs in the corners of the rooms and marks on the wall (not ideal with later checking in times for extra cleaning) - the loo seat was scuffed and scratched which made it look dirty even though it was clean, and our boiler broke on our last day- so no hot water and no central heating, but we had already decided to pack up a day earlier than expected so we just reported it to the staff as we checked out. The bed was soft and mattress stained and the sofa's offered little support. Most of the staff we encountered we friendly and helpful, and although the menu was very limited due to delivery issues (this is out of the parks control but I'm including it as a heads up) the food was tasty.

The lodge was advertised as a luxury lodge. This lodge was very basic and dirty. On arrival found mould in the back of the fridge and the kitchen benches were dirty. The bathrooms were superficially clean but skirting boards and floors filthy and toilet seats heavily stained.
