Merryfield Cottage is a beautiful end of terrace cottage full of character and charm, set right in the heart of picturesque Robertsbridge.  The property boasts original beams throughout and a beautiful brick fireplace housing a superb wood burning stove. There is a lovely garden with a summer house and a dog is also welcome, making it perfect for enjoying the many rural walks right from your doorstep. The village of Robertsbridge has a rich history and good daily shopping where you will find a wide variety of shops including an artisan bakery and cafe, antiquarian bookshop, village stores, chemist, a bank and a post office.  There is also an Indian restaurant and two great pubs to choose from!  Touring around the scenic Sussex and Kent countryside is easy from here and a short drive will take you to historic Battle where you can explore the Abbey and the 1066 battlefields. There are great road links to the coast at Hastings and Rye as well as the long sandy beach at Camber. There are direct trains to London from the village station. Robertsbridge is a member of the Sussex Bonfire Society which is responsible for a series of bonfire festivals throughout November, making this a great all year round property.

Sitting Room is carpeted with a wood burning stove, an antique style leather two seater sofa, two matching armchairs, a flat screen digital TV/DVD/ipod dock in moveable cabinet and an occasional table. There is a large built-in cupboard for storing coats and boots which also houses the freezer

Kitchen/Diner has a terracotta tiled floor, an electric oven and hob, microwave, larder fridge, washing machine.  There is a dining table with seating for 4 and a door leading to the garden

Second Floor:

Bedroom 2 with beautiful stripped floorboards, single 3' stacker bed to form twins, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers and hanging pegs with wooden hangers

Garden: Patio area outside the kitchen door then through arch to lawned garden with decked sun trap, summer house, pergola and garden furniture. Barbecue available.

Parking: On street. There is a free public car park in the village 300 metres away

Heating: Electric thermostatically controlled radiators and the wood burning stove (first basket of logs provided).

Notes: Due to the very steep stairs this property is not suitable for the very young or those with mobility problems. A travel cot is available for babes in arms.
