Snaptrip says

Caner Bach Lodge is a cosy, secluded property with stunning views and a warm Welsh welcome from the owners. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting, the friendly animals on the farm, and the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. While some found the lodge and its approach road a bit challenging, the overall experience was highly praised for its tranquillity, cleanliness, and as a base for exploring the Welsh countryside.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the lodge to be immaculate and very clean, contributing to a comfortable and pleasant stay. There were no significant complaints regarding cleanliness, indicating high standards maintained by the hosts.

The lodge's location is appreciated for its stunning views and peacefulness, halfway up a Welsh mountain. It offers a great base for exploring Wales, although the approach via narrow lanes and a bumpy track was noted by some guests. The proximity to local amenities and attractions was also highlighted.

Guests generally found the lodge cosy and the setting relaxing. However, there were a few remarks about the comfort of the bed and sofas, and the cramped lounge area. The presence of numerous dogs, while often seen as a positive, was occasionally mentioned as a disturbance.

The lodge is described as well-equipped by many, but there were several mentions of issues such as no direct garden access, nowhere to hang wet coats, and no hot water in the bathroom sink. Some guests also experienced problems with the dogs on site, which affected their stay.

Many guests mentioned the thoughtful gestures by the hosts, such as providing bread, milk, and even home-made treats. While these gifts were highly appreciated, it should be noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.

Warm and inviting. Lots of places to walk with our little dog straight from the cottage. Owners very friendly and helpful. Local pub at the bottom of the hill was also very friendly and served tasty and excellent value meals.

Also, the M4 is about 15 minutes away so you easily get to Cardiff or Swansea to enjoy the sights or go shopping. I for one enjoyed the tranquility and that feeling of being away from things but knowing everything you might need is close by. A final word regarding the hosts - warm, friendly and always ready to sort out anything that might crop up or questions about the locale - best places to walk, local things of interest. A lovely couple. I’d certainly go back again.
