What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Powys To Rent.

"We were very disappointed with the general standard of this property. We found it to be shabby and grubby, in need of a deep clean and lots of general maintenance.I contacted the owner prior to leaving this review, he did offer money off my next stay but we won't be going back and now he is not replying to any messages. The problems were mostly things that could be easily fixed with a bit more care and attention. For example one toilet seat was broken, taps were loose and caused water to escape from the sink, there were stains on the carpets, a cigarette lighter was found down the side of a sofa, the hot tub wasn't cleaned during our stay, the pool had lots of silt at the bottom. The sofas and most of the dining chairs had sagged, one of the bathroom door locks was broken causing an elderly Aunt to become locked in, a plug socket was loose from the wall, the garden chairs were old and rotten making them unsafe and one of the shower heads was held up with string."

"Myself, my partner (Thomas) and our dog (Sam the Hairy Lurcher) stayed at this wonderful cottage for three nights in late October (we were very lucky with the weather - it was sunny and glorious!) whilst Thomas was doing an ecology course at Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT). The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay (even an electric blanket which was an amazing treat after a long day hiking up Cadair Idris!). The area is beautiful and has lots of good walking in the local area. There are some lovely eateries and shops in nearby Machynlleth. Nora is an excellent host. Great check-in instructions. We hope to stay again soon. Thank you!"

"We had a fantastic time. The place is set in lovely countryside and is perfect for just relaxing or exploring the beautiful area. We were there with our 8 month old son, so we just took it easy, cooked meals in the house at night and drove around to the nearby coast and quaint villages for a stroll during the day. Nora and her family are lovely people and very attentive. Everything worked perfectly and I highly recommend staying there if you are interested in the area!"

"Our stay at Ash Lodge was really fantastic. The lodge itself was very clean and had everything you could need. We had a very warm welcome and felt very at home. The local area is great and there are lots of nice things to do. The owners really go the extra mile with this property and there are lots of small touches which made the stay special. The hot tub and views are of course a real bonus too! Thank you for having us."

"Just fantastic all round. What a beautiful place, the owners were great. Everything about the accommodation was first class and the beds were so comfortable. Would recommend this lovely rural area to anyone that enjoys peace and quiet but can also explore surrounding area. The owners should be so proud. Easy to make contact with customer service and no issues at all. As already highlighted, accommodation was 5 star."
