"We had a lovely stay at Blackmore Farm Cottage. The cottage was well equipped and there were many thoughtful touches, including treats for the dog. Ginny, our 10 month old Cockerpoo, was especially thankful for the new toy that was waiting when we arrived. It has quickly become her favourite plaything. Throws were also provided for the sofas which was a nice touch, as pooch definitely likes her sofa cuddles.Lovely outside space, with plenty of enclosed garden for the dog to run around in, and there's a nice raised sitting out area, to watch the world go by from. I've marked down 1 point for comfort as the main double bed's mattress was unforgiving and hard. It's something one gets used to over time I suppose. Overall it's a lovely cosy cottage, especially when you get the log fire going, and we'd definitely come back."

"A spacious, comfortable cottage superbly equipped - for both people and dogs. The welcome pack of milk, wine and biscuits also includes a dog toy! The cottage is situated directly opposite the farmyard, with sheep in the field next to the garden, so be prepared for some noise from the farm machinery and livestock. We were perfectly happy with this but it is best to be forewarned. Dogs also need to be kept on a lead at all times, apart from when in the small courtyard area. The cottage is surrounded by quiet country lanes and footpaths and with the aid of an Ordnance Survey map (found in the cottage) we were to follow a variety of daily walks with the dogs. There is a small village shop/PO about 1/2 mile (?) away selling basics, including newspapers but the nearest pub with food is a short drive away."

"Well set up and maintained house for four people. Conservatory cum utility at the rear is a good addition. Plenty of hard-standing parking space and a roomy garage/carport. A good sized garden and all weather eating area for barbecues completes a very good outdoor provision. Dogs are well catered for. We would have liked to have had more flexible lighting options in the dining room - three small wall lamps with dark shades made it rather gloomy for evening meals or anything else at night. Perhaps an up-lighter on a standard lamp with pale shade and a table lamp for the sideboard? The beds were fine and we slept well. It was a warm and cosy place to stay at and would look for it again if thinking of returning to the area."

"Little Owl lived up to its photos and descriptions on the web. We had a family get together and celebrated a first birthday with parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle. We could not have asked for a more cosy, welcoming and charming environment. The family enjoyed the lawn and had a fun afternoon playing croquet. The living room with its fireplace made for great conversations and games. The kitchen was well-equipped and we were impressed with the abundance and quality of crockery and cutlery and not to miss the cooking range (a chef's delight). We noticed that painstaking thought and planning have gone into the big items as well as the small. Thank you for making our experience so memorable."

"We are a from germany and went for a short trip to england. The cottage was nice and beautyful. We arrived whith our two boys and the dogs. The boys were happy in cause they had WiFi and the the dogs were happy with the big garden ;-) So my wife and me have had a great time. The cottage was full equipted whith all the thinks you need for cooking, cleaning the dogs, clothes and so on because the weather was the only thing which was bad. Comfortable Livingroom and - me and the boys have fun with the Wii in the evening. The cottage its in short distance for a trip to Stone Henge, London, Portsmout and Southampton. So we will come back again."
