"You will not regret booking this holiday let, it absolutely suited us down to the ground. The secure, enclosed garden was an absolute Godsend, meaning our two lively dogs had freedom within the garden without supervision. The kitchen utensils, crockery, pots and pans etc were plentiful, decent sized fridge freezer. The living room was comfortable, and warm on chilly evenings with a door opening on to the garden with magnificent views and birdlife. The bed was comfortable, with extra pillows if required. The shower in the bathroom is one of the best showers I have ever used!Whoever cleans this accommodation does a sterling job, the house was immaculate, all the crockery was neatly stacked and clean. It’s obvious there’s great pride in keeping the accommodation up to a high standard. In fact, I noticed in the visitor book a couple of minor suggestions from previous guests, and these had been rectified. So minor, such as “it would be handy to have a baking sheet” ; there was a baking sheet the kitchen when we were there. If you’re looking for a chilled holiday, total relaxation in tranquil, pretty surroundings, I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. The owners were totally non-intrusive, but were so friendly upon our arrival, showed us around the cottage, explained central heating etc., and said if we needed anything to just ask.The area is lovely, forest walks, coastal walks, beaches, villages and small towns to explore. We had a fabulous week, thank you for sharing your little part of Scotland with us."

"Probably the most beautiful building and incredible location we've stayed in. Perfect for walking the dog, close to beaches and lovely views from the lounge. Lots of lovely touches such as quaint lampshades/cushions etc and bathrooms and bed were very clean. On the downside, it was very cramped with lots of unnecessary extras... Like 144 cookery books in the kitchen... And a very dusty spice rack with some spices dating back to 2007... Also, for practicality, we would have preferred hard floors as we had to vacuum every day because of our very hairy little dog. Would have been easier to keep clean with hard floors. We could actually smell dog when we got there - particularly up the stairs (and dogs aren't allowed upstairs...)Finally, really cheap soap and shower gel seemed out of place in such a lovely place. Perhaps if they had been dispensed into nice containers, we might not have noticed...We did have a lovely, relaxing week there however and would recommend it if these issues were addressed."

"Had a very enjoyable stay at the property, it had everything you require for your stay including kitchen essentials ( washing up liquid, dish cloths, kitchen roll, salt & pepper sugar hand soaps etc ) the only thing I was disappointed with was the cleanliness of the kitchen surfaces, the kettle and toaster had a layer of greasy dust on them also the canisters on the work top, the hob and oven front weren't clean and the oven gloves were dirty with dried on food. I understand that it is no more than day to day use from previous guests but when you are paying a good sum of money to stay in a property I would expect a little more attention to detail. The rest of the property was very clean and comfortable and the nearby town of Banchory had all the amenities you could want, overall a very nice holiday."

"We was leaving it late to book for Scotland as we go yearly and stumbled across this place, we visited here in 2017 and found it to be a nice village and the isle of seil so decided to book and was very happy with the place as we used it as our base for our travels around Scotland...The view from the balcony was well worth it and the place is dog friendly for our little dog. The cottage had everything you needed as if you was at home and a open fire place 😊, you do have to pay for electricity on a token meter, but overall we fully enjoyed our stay here, try the puffer restaurant on isle of seil as the food is bang on and fresh just a quick boat ride over and a nice pub a couple of doors down for a cheeky few scoops.."

"A lovely cottage set in beautiful countryside on a working farm. Very limited Wifi, but this in fact enhanced our holiday as we were truly away from it all, just like we used to be when we first married over 50 years ago. Everything we needed was there and we found the accomodation, all on one level, ideally suited for us. The nearest village shop was about 4 miles away but we only needed basics for breakfast and evening meal as we ate out most of the time, the area was well served by restaurants and cafes. The owner was very welcoming and on hand if needed but did not intrude. We shall certainly return to this lovely holiday cottage with our dogs!"
