"We had an amazing stay at the end of August - the weather had turned, so a few drizzly, murky days, but that didn't dampen our enjoyment. When the sun did shine it highlighted the beauty of the cottage and its surroundings. This is a great base to explore local attractions and those a little further afield. It really is in the middle of nowhere but this afforded us with close encounters with an owl, hundreds of rabbits (only a slight exaggeration!), red and roe deer, bats and midges! One night I stepped out of the back door with the dog for his last 'business' outing before tucking up in the gorgeous single beds with a large double duvet each, to be greeted by a pair of green eyes staring back at me from the bank behind the cottage... took me a while to realise it was one of 'pet' deer, but it just stood there looking at us, as if to say 'Any supper going?' Thankfully the dog was on his lead, having had a close encounter with the many rabbits the night before, so I pulled him back in and shut the door and we went out the front via the patio instead! On a clear night, with no light pollution, you can sit for hours looking up at the stars... or if it's cloudy just put the Christmas lights on!The cottage is beautiful, well equipped with some lovely little 'thoughts' like tablets for the dishwasher, spare poo bags and even a bed for the dog.. though he moaned it was too small for him, just as well we'd brought his memory foam bed!Really the only thing that stops this from being totally and utterly perfect is the heating system - whilst I applaud their attempt at being eco-friendly and cost-effective that is one noisy beastie! Even with it turned off at night there is still the noise of a pump going intermittently, which with the bedroom door shut is bearable but earplugs may come in handy! An awesome cottage, in an idyllic location that helped us both relax and recharge the batteries :o)"

"This is the third time we have stayed at Skyefall in the last 4 years but unfortunately would not return. Although the apartment itself is beautiful and in a stunning location, it has not been well maintained. We were very disappointed this time around. The double bed is badly needing replaced and it is also advertised as a kingsize but is actually only a double. One of the spare beds has a massive dip in it. The bedroom carpets are needing replaced as they are extremely dirty (stained) and very worn which makes them hard to even hoover. The kitchen units were missing panels and the outside light wasn't working. The couch is also now extremely uncomfortable, again very worn :-( Particularly as we have been there a few times, we have noticed the deterioration."

"This is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. Really well-equipped with good quality things - everything thought of. It makes such a difference to have decent equipment to use and not just the cheapest that could be found as is so often the case.Very friendly welcome from the owner who lives next door. She was always available but also perfectly discreet. The cottage is just outside Drumnadrochit which is nice but a bit touristy for us. It is close enough to be able to walk in to go for a meal and not have to worry about having a driver. Note that the pubs all get booked up though and we couldn't get in on our first night so worth booking ahead perhaps. The Fiddlers was excellent when we booked for later in the week."

"We absolutely loved staying at S83060 and would stay here again in a heart beat. Shone was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We were running late for our arrival by about 3 hours and she even rang to check we were ok. The cottage itself was perfectly equipped making it feel like a home from home. The area is lovely and quite and a perfect central point to visit the highlands. Our holiday was 2 adults and 2 dogs and the even the dogs felt at home, with the enclosed garden being a huge bonus. The fact that both of the bedrooms had en-suites was fantastic it meant that we each had our own space. Shona and her husband have done a fantastic job on the property and we would highly recommend it to everyone."

"Warm and comfortable cottage with everything you could wish for - even a tea cosy! Ideal for dog owners, with a utility space and shower as you walk in the door so you can get rid of mud before entering. Forest walks and bike trailsstart just along the road. WiFi was great, phones worked in the back bedroom. We voyaged out in all directions and visited the Castle of Mey, Inverewe Gardens etc and really liked Dornoch. Our only negative feedback would be that there was no view over the water as the trees screen it off and the proximity to the road makes it a wee bit noisy if you sit outside in the garden to drink your tea. All in all, we had a lovely time."
