"A last minute booking which was so much more than we were expecting. Such good value for money. Lovely surprise of goodies when we arrived.. Very comfortable and well furnished. Included a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and wifi and lots of other useful things you wouldn't normally get in a rented cottage. Very near the beach and harbour. All amenities nearby, lots of nice walks and so much to see and enjoy. Car parking for one car and is a bit tight. The only downside was there was no private outside area and looking at Google Earth beforehand we thought the back was overlooking the sea when in fact it backs onto another building so there are no views at all. Still we made a cuppa and in a dozen paces we were at the beach enjoying the sea air and the vista."

"We stayed for one week in S23776, Paxton and where pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The cottage is one of three in a quiet setting just outside Paxton village one and half miles over the Scottish border and just five miles from Berwick upon Tweed. The cottage has all the equipment you will need and to top it off a open fire which we lit most evenings and sat in front of with a glass of wine. The cottage has two bedrooms one double and two single beds and a lovely garden to sit in. Diane who looks after the cottage is lovely, nothing was too much trouble if you needed anything. A very relaxing stay in a lovely cottage, what more could you want!"

"Wonderful, cosy wee cottage with all mod cons, including a coffee machine (we had brought ours!). Convenient parking in behind, or on the street. A minute's Walk from the beach and excellent fish and chips. The kitchen was well equipped and clean and fresh, as was the bathroom with a big walk in shower. The shutters were great too. The electric fire in the lounge was warming, even with just the flames setting. WiFi kept dropping off, but switching it off and then on again sorted that. And, most important to us, it was dog friendly. Our dog had the most wonderful time, all the coastal walks and beach visits."

"Comfortable and well-equipped cottage on the side of a quiet road, just outside Paxton. We were, however, glad we'd taken a digital radio as reception on the FM radio provided was very poor.Paxton has a pub with good beer but only average food. The village has no shop, for which you need to go to Berwick (5km).Surrounding countryside is pleasant, but unspectacular although with some good views. The quiet roads make it excellent for cycling but walkers would probably want to try further afield - such as the coast path near Eyemouth and St. Abbs Head."
