In Pendine visitors will have easy access to the Wales Coastal Path and the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park is also nearby and well worth a visit. The village’s eight-mile sandy beach is unsurprisingly a popular spot. However it’s not all about sandcastles and swimming, you can drive a car on this beach! It has been visited by Top Gear and attempts to break the land speed record have been made here. It really does have something for everyone.

"Where do I begin. We arrived to the property at approximately 5.30 on Friday. On entering the property I could see alot of mess over the floor. The worktops were covered in crumbs and white hard fat had hardened onto the worktop from someone who had been clearly cooked there previously and this had not been cleaned. Initially I thought I'd clean. So I went to local shop to purchase cleaning products and cleaned the worktops. Swept the floor and mopped it. Finally sat on the sofa to see all bits and hair all over it. I contacted Stan- thr property care taker and asked for a Hoover, he brought me his girlfriends. I then hovered the sofa and the floor again. So for them to see that it is still dust on the floor you can imagine how bad it was before. There was dried urine all around the floor of the toilet which I also cleaned. The last straw was when I looked at the bed to see that there was black hair and stains all in and on top of the bed. I am blonde so clearly not mine.I have never stayed anywhere where the lack of cleanliness was that bad. I dont dispute that the owner pays a cleaner but clearly they ate not doing their jobs properly. I cried the whole time I was there. DWe decided to leave when my son said " mammy we want to go home, it's to dirty in here" our home isnt dirty and I dont expect them to stay in dirt. We then drove 2 hours home with 2 tired children and got home at 9.45pm. Overall holiday from hell and to top it off the owners do not think that not being able to stay somewhere so dirty warrants a refund. Avoid!!!!"

"Basic apartment, one double and two bunk beds. Bunk beds only Suitable for children up to about 12 yrs. I would call this luxury in any definition of the word luxury.Lovely balcony with the hot tub, but as the apartment is dog friendly a gate would be useful, especially as there were dogs in most of the 20 apartments.Laminate flooring throughout and the decoration was all magnolia, but not done to a very high standard.Kitchen equipment and crockery was limited and basic, so much so that we did not use the dishwasher it would never be full.Furniture was a sofa, a chair, table and four chairs and a coffee table in lounge dinerDouble bed, wardrobe and two bedside cabinets in master bedroom with bedside lights. Two bunks and a chest of drawers in second bedroom but no lamp. Master bedroom lacked a dressing table. There were no blinds in the bathroom. The bedrooms had blinds but no curtains. The balcony was nice but the one above was also made from decking so rain dripped through and so did water when occcupants above used hot tub. Luckily their dog did not wee on their balcony.Stan the Caretaker was very helpful and came round each morning to attend to the hot tub.BT Broadband was very good and tv worked fine, as did the DVD playerA car is a must as it is a long walk down to Pendine and facilities are geared towards the caravan park and holiday makers."

"First off I booked Cliff Top View not Samphire but my booking was cancelled the night before my holiday and I was only given the choice of Samphire (downstairs) and I the owner insisted the flats were the same. Unfortunately dogs are allowed in Samphire (but not in Cliff Top View) and I'm allergic to dogs. So I had to clean the house thoroughly the first evening because there was dog hair all over - great start to our holiday. The hoover was not effective so the dog hair remained and I struggled all week. The flat itself could be better stocked with amenities - only one toilet roll supplied for two persons all week, no kitchen towel, no dishwasher tablet and only two bin bags. We had to shop for everything during the bank holiday weekend. The bathroom light kept turning off during shower (it seems the sensor does not sense through closed shower door). And the beds were uncomfortable. The DVD remote needs a change of battery. A little more attention to amenities would improve comfort significantly! The positives were the view, the location and the little Robin that paid us a visit each day."

"Great views over the beach from the balcony. We had a nice week in the amazing sun. There were a few areas which could be improved, general cleanliness of the apartment could have been better, I had to sweep the floor when we arrived. The tv stand also needs replacing, balancing the tv on two books and tying it to the wall with rope is not appropriate for a holiday apartment! The tv also has a line of dead pizels on one side which wasn't great. Also the bed is not super king size, the fact it was advertised as such was partly why we booked so that was disappointing. The outdoor chairs were also cracked and quite basic, which was a shame for such a great balcony. The on site caretaker was very helpful and brought us a travel cot very quickly. Overall the apartment is nice but it could be so much nicer!!"

"Clearview offers the perfect holiday for larger or extended families as it sleeps up to ten. As suggested by its name the views from the house are amazing and we're a joy to wake up to each morning. The house is fully stocked with any utensil you could wish should you choose to self cater or just chill seated outside with a coffee overlooking the sea. Our party consisted of 4 children under 10 and above 4 and they loved it, the short walk to the sea was great anabling the drivers a rest from the wheel although the walk back a little steep. Pendine sands has limited grocery shopping for the supermarket friend so the only downside, if that, supermarket were a short drive away. All in all our party would go again, lovely views, well equipped and beautiful house. Well recommended by us all."
