In Pendine visitors will have easy access to the Wales Coastal Path and the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park is also nearby and well worth a visit. The village’s eight-mile sandy beach is unsurprisingly a popular spot. However it’s not all about sandcastles and swimming, you can drive a car on this beach! It has been visited by Top Gear and attempts to break the land speed record have been made here. It really does have something for everyone.

"Mid February 2018: As a young couple (21&23) we really enjoyed our stay in the apartment with our dog. The caretaker is lovely and so helpful, he comes to check the hot tub for you every morning and puts in cleaning solutions. I would ignore any complaints in reviews because it is honestly lovely accommodation. We stayed on the ground floor which we preferred as the first floor had steep steps and no gate at the top of the steps for pets and children. The decking is still raised and far from the ground below. Also being on the ground floor means you have upstairs' decking over part of your decking and your hot tub so it is protected a little more from any rain (it can drip through the holes). You are able to see all other apartments deckings and hot tubs but we didn't mind as all our neighbours at the time were lovely.I gave a 7 for comfort as the bed was smaller than our normal double sized bed at home and an 8 for local amenities as we were unaware February is one of the two months that are out of season and only the local convenience shop, fish & chip shop, Indian restaurant/takeaway and a pub was open within the town on the sea front. However this was still plenty enough for us. There are a further 4 x beach shops/cafes, 2 x other convenience shops, a diner style restraunt and nearby caravan sites with restaurants and indoor pools that were closed (unsure if you would be able to use these).I would suggest taking some toilet roll as we were given 1 and had to buy more from the shop and a torch as round the back of the property there are no lights when it gets dark for taking any pets out. The apartment has electric radiators in every room which can be turned on and off by a socket switch on the wall - they warm the apartment very quickly so it is never cold. We only had 1 morning of rain and strong wind."

"Advertised as "Newly listed Property" ,which gave the wrong impression, however it should have read "Newly renovated property" although this would have been a misnomer. Our telephone phone call advised time of arrival. Nobody to meet us on arrival, and nobody, owner or caretaker visited us during out stay.On arrival we were greeted with a packet of Welsh cakes and a bottle of Rosy wine called"The ugly Pig" and from Australia. It is recognised that most people drink Red or White wine, and Wales produces it's own excellent wine.Bathroom. We had to run the hot water tap for 5 minutes before any hot water and then it was never very hot . Neither the Bathroom or the downstairs Toilet had spare Toilet rolls.Downstairs Toilet and shower room had a rusty soap holder in the shower, the light over the basin was very dim,(also the upstairs bathroom) The Shower control "Mira" controls were poor with only a trickle of water. The Toilet seat made of wood refused to stay in the upright position, consequently it fell down with hinges that were rusty and covered with green mould. When entering ,the Light switch also turned on the Fan, with no opportunity to turn off the fan when not in use. The constant loud noise was more than irritating.None of the doors, including the bathroom, had hooks on the inside, therefore we were unable to hang our clothes or a dressing gown when taking a shower or a bath.Lounge: Of the two ceiling lights only one was working.Kitchen: No instructions for appliances. Out of 4 worktop lights only one was working. There were no scales or colander, and no light over the cooker. Some double glazing panels had disintegrated, thus spoiling the view."

"Basic apartment, one double and two bunk beds. Bunk beds only Suitable for children up to about 12 yrs. I would call this luxury in any definition of the word luxury.Lovely balcony with the hot tub, but as the apartment is dog friendly a gate would be useful, especially as there were dogs in most of the 20 apartments.Laminate flooring throughout and the decoration was all magnolia, but not done to a very high standard.Kitchen equipment and crockery was limited and basic, so much so that we did not use the dishwasher it would never be full.Furniture was a sofa, a chair, table and four chairs and a coffee table in lounge dinerDouble bed, wardrobe and two bedside cabinets in master bedroom with bedside lights. Two bunks and a chest of drawers in second bedroom but no lamp. Master bedroom lacked a dressing table. There were no blinds in the bathroom. The bedrooms had blinds but no curtains. The balcony was nice but the one above was also made from decking so rain dripped through and so did water when occcupants above used hot tub. Luckily their dog did not wee on their balcony.Stan the Caretaker was very helpful and came round each morning to attend to the hot tub.BT Broadband was very good and tv worked fine, as did the DVD playerA car is a must as it is a long walk down to Pendine and facilities are geared towards the caravan park and holiday makers."

"Whilst the beach was very long, there was limited access to it and not a great deal else that took our fancy locally. The view from the property is stunning but there were a few internal things that spoiled our enjoyment. Many of the plates and cutlery had hard food deposits on them. The dinner plates did not fit in the dishwasher or microwave and there wasn't a drop of washing up liquid left to wash them in the sink. The fridge freezer made a loud rattling noice on and off and through the night this disturbed our sleep significantly. There was no digital signal to the TV which would have been good for the kids. The cupboard to the right of the dishwasher has a hole for the dishwasher plug access where a shelf support should be so when a pan was removed from it glasswear was tipped out. The light in the bathroom is on a sensor and stayed on for a max of 10 seconds at a time and not at all when children were in the shower. The extractor fan in there was filthy. Bathroom lights had a number of dead bees in them and the toilet roll holder was loose rendering it useless. There is a significant crack in the floor tiles going into the twin bedroom leaving a sharp edge. Most of these are easy to solve problems and would improve everyone's enjoyment of the accommodation."

"Lovely well equipped apartment with stunning views. We booked the apartment because it was identified as 'Dog Friendly' but unfortunately the balcony area did not have a side gate and therefore was not secure enough for our dog to wander freely within the compound of the property - other apartments in the same block all had side gates. We also wanted a property that offered Wi-Fi and the reception here was very poor - most of the time a signal was not available and when it was it kept dipping in and out. With no mobile phone signal we felt quite isolated. The property is located some way from the main resort and is at the top of a steep hill - if you are unable to or you do not like walking any distance then you will need a car to get to and from your property. Unfortunately a couple of other points within the accommodation were a bit annoying - the bracket in the shower was broken and as a result the shower head was pointing in the wrong direction - someone had previously tried to sort a temporary 'fix' by supporting the shower head with a piece of string but this did not work effectively. Also the light in the shower room only comes on if movement is detected and it kept witching off - particularly annoying in the evening having to shower in the dark!"
