"Ok so the reception is hardly ever open so if you go out for the day you will most likely never get the chance to speak to anyone. On the plus side the staff did speak English. There is no shop/food on site they do have a van in the mornings other than a Saturday that come with the basics bread/pain au raisins ect and on three nights a food truck. what they didn't tell us was that you needed to ordered from the chicken truck in a morning to get anything other than a kebab. Laundry facilities are only open 7 till 7 but you have to get a token from reception which with the opening times can be a pain. The accomodation we had was all on one floor and was small one set of bunk beds was basically in a hallway next to the front door you had to crab walk to get on the bed. I think Harry Potter had a bigger room under the stairs. The one bedroom was ok and the last was a sofa bed which would be fine if the room were a little bigger. Once the bed was out you had no room at all. The separation of toilet from shower room was good. The kitchen was clean and modern but has no oven only a microwave and you can't have a barbecue on site unless it's electric and who has ever wanted one of them!!! The kitchen had limited space to store any thing. The pool is a good size but unheated so sometimes a little chilly we didn't use the hottubs/gym but they are only open when reception is and at an extra cost this is stated on the website. The site itself is nice and easy to find and in a good location for some good beaches and a short drive for supermarket shops and restaurants. So all in all its a nice place in a good location and if you can manage in small accomodation with limited cooking facilities then you will be fine. We were out most days so only back in an evening but we like to barbecue and couldn't do that which was a shame. Mandy the site need to look at having some electric barbecues for people to hire."

"We had a fantastic time staying at S118413 in August. The cottage was perfect for our needs, with our two sons (aged 13 and 11), taking over the top floor which included an extra sitting room additionally to the bedroom (which is not mentioned in the property descrition I guess because there are a couple of beams to duck under up there). We could walk into Saumur in about 45 mins but we also hired bikes from Karen and Andre, the owners, allowing us the option to cycle down and beyond. The cottage has a large garden, great for relaxing in after a busy day, with garden furniture and barbeque provided. It would also be an option for someone with any mobility issues, given all the main facilities were on the ground floor, including main bedroom and bathroom with walk-in shower. We found the cottage an excellent base, allowing us to explore the Loire region easily. We even got a train to Paris for the night too. Karen and Andre were excellent; close enough to be on hand to answer any questions we had but happy to leave us to it the rest of the time. And the welcome wine they provided was well appreciated. This was our first trip to the Loire Valley and we loved it, with the cottage being a big part of this. We'll definitely be back!"

"The owners, Karen and Andre, were very welcoming and very knowledgeable of the local area. When we arrived, there was milk and wine in the fridge, everything a weary traveler needed after a long journey. The cottage was fully equipped and spotless. The location is very quiet and peaceful. It’s a leisurely 40 minute walk in to town from the cottage which we did a couple of times. The town has lots of restaurants and bars which are all welcoming. There is a large market Saturday morning which is good for local produce. Along with the chateau, the Tank Museum is worthy of a visit. Further afield, there are many chateaux and vin yards which the Loire Valley is famous for."

"A quiet location and the house has a very large garden with rural surroundings. About 10 minutes from Saumur which has all the facilities necessary for a self-catering holiday. There are a number of chateaux within easy reach as well as Blois, Angers and Tours. The house is a tastefully restored old stone building but finished in a modern style inside and is clean and comfortable. We've stayed here previously and would certainly do so again."

"Property was clean and comfortable, with plenty of kitchen equipment. The garden was very private and quiet and M. Pivert very helpful and friendly (although he does not speak english) but his daughter does when she is at home! The weather was glorious for the last 12 days (out of 14) and very hot even though our h0liday covered mid May. Handy for beaches and close to Les sables d'Olonne - an up market holiday resort."
