What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Oxshott To Rent.

"The location of this property is why I would recommend it. A two minute walk to the train station & then a very short 15/20 minute journey into central London, makes this a great place to stay on the outskirts, if you want to spend your days sightseeing in London. Winchmore Hill itself has some great dining pubs & restaurants. The cottage itself, although very quaint, isn't very practical as a space to come back to relax in, which is the downside. It feels very formal & is over packed with unnecessary old furniture and knick knacks. It feels more like staying in a B&B or an older Aunts house. The stairs are extremely steep & the kitchen is on the first floor with the bedrooms which makes it difficult to cook anything & then bring it downstairs to eat. There is no DVD player & not enough comfortable sofa's to relax on an evening. The bedrooms don't have proper wardrobes so be prepared to literally live out of your case. Clean & tidy, but not practical for a family."

"Our booking was for a gathering of our family now distributed around the UK, and it filled that role perfectly. The house is in a lovely rural location but with good access to local shops in Ripley. We stayed in great splendour and comfort, and there really was something for everyone of all ages. My personal favourites were the lovely warm pool and the piano, books and paintings! We also loved watching the morning wildlife out on the lawn from the kitchen window, and exploring the rest of the large garden and local footpaths. Whether it is relaxation or more active passtimes you are seeking then this property fills the bill. Thank you for a great week!"

"V pleasant little studio with decent equipment in kitchen. Comfy bed and linens. Sunny and pleasant to sit outside, although not super private as overlooks garden to another couple of homes. Saw a deer in the garden while having breakfast outside! Would be V snug for 2 adults to sit around inside for any length of time but I stayed solo and it was fine. Seats a bit low for anyone with mobility issues. Walking distance to lovely village and nearest pub Rose and Crown about 50m away is terrific."

"We loved this apartment. The setting was lovely with deer in the surrounding grounds. It was very well equipped and all the fixtures and fittings were of the highest standard. The owners were very helpful and welcoming without being intrusive and left us a lovely welcome pack including fresh eggs and a bottle of wine. The surrounding countryside is lovely too, with many National Trust properties, and the south coast is not far away. One of the best cottage breaks we have had."

"I cannot recommend Horncombe highly enough. It is quiet and private, and my husband and I could have stayed forever instead of the five weeks we spent there. Our hosts, Martin and Ronnie, gave us a warm welcome and made sure we didn't want for anything. The living space was super-clean, fully-equipped and it had obviously been built and stocked with care and an eye for quality. It was a true home from home for us, and we will remember Horncombe and its owners fondly."
