What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Oxfordshire To Rent.

"The cottage was perfect for us and was well equipped generally. Slight issue with only enough coal for one small fire and having an open fire was one of the reasons we rented this cottage in particular. We had brought logs but its a coal only fireplace and we arrived late on Christmas eve so nowhere nearby to buy any for a few days. We did find a petrol station open and with coal on Christmas Day near Oxford in the end! It wasn't a huge deal and very specific to the time we went because normally the Post Office sells it apparently. Besides this small gripe everything was great. The kitchen is very well equipped and the conservatory space was great for Christmas meals with every small thing catered for, even candles. We had snow while we were there and it was beautiful all around, the horses in the field opposite were great to watch. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the good size family bathroom was a great bonus. It may need mentioning somewhere that there is no toilet on the ground floor and when my elderly father visited us it was tricky getting him up the stairs. Brian checked we had everything we needed and was responsive throughout our stay, many thanks.I would definitely recommend this cottage to others and would book again and we have rented a lot of cottages in this area ( nearby family to visit). Thank you!!"

"The accommodation itself was fine - not at all luxury but non the less fine.Good points:Plenty of space Only a small number of lodgesVery helpful onsite staffPretty decent restaurant on site Nice locationThings we didn't like:The hot tub was useless to us for 2 reasons: the lid was just too heavy to lift and you may as well be in it on a busy street as it is totally overlooked by the other lodges and the campersWi fi was very patchyBut the worst thing and the things which would stop us going back is the fact our lodge had what would have been a beautiful view of the Thames however right in front of us was a patch of grass which they filled with campers. They where very noisy until late at night and whenever we opened the curtains they where "there" virtually in our living room and fully blocking our view. This totally spoiled what could have been a lovely location for us."

"Nice cosy cottage in a lovely location. Close to Oxford, Bicester Village for shopping and the scenic surrounding area of the Cotswolds. Bourton On The Water is a must. Cottage is well equipped with all the required necessities. Big King sized bed, cozy log burner and a great shower. The welcome pack was much appreciated. Nothing much to complain about although we didn't find the sofa in the lounge particularly comfortable and you should note that there is no other heating downstairs bar the log burner and if you require more logs you will be charged for them, albeit only a minimal amount. Personally I thought that was odd considering you have paid for a stay in a cottage and heating should be part of that contract. As I said you need the additional logs as there is no other method of heating downstairs. Minor quibbles but it does detract my overall score a little."

"Bampton lovely village but short of amenities of 4 pubs 3 pubs closed most time no lunch 1, lunch no dogs allowed. 4th pub closed for sale. 1 coop well stocked and 1 Chinese take away good. Few tea shops no dogs allowed. Cottage advertised as dog friendly, garden lovely but top of garden needs to be gated as bare earth beds!had to keep dog on long lead also dog not allowed upstairs!! I do not allow dog on beds but like most owners dog is allowed upstairs, this stops any barking or separation distress in a strange environment at night. So found it most unfriendly for the dog. Dog not to be left alone during the day in the cottage (would not want to) so what is the difference shutting it downstairs overnight in the dark!! That aside, cottage clean and comfortable with most items one needed. On a busy noisy main road."

"We found this cottage a very good place to meet up with friends and family. It was extremely well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Sofa could be a little uncomfortable but I have known worse. It was much appreciated that the cottage takes dogs and there are many lovely walks from the town centre. The pubs left a little to be desired but the tea rooms next to the Co-Op was very good. We had a super breakfast there. There was no noise or inconvenience from the properties on either side and the one neighbour, Lynn was very pleasant and helpful. We never met any others. Above and beyond with the electronic equipment. There was only myself and husband but would be good for a family or two couples. Will return if visiting the area again."
