"The house is very spacious and offered more than enough space for 2 families of 4; it was clean and relatively comfortable. We enjoyed the pool table, many sofas and the welcome basket Liz had left for us- a very nice touch. Communication with the owner was very good, Liz is lovely :)We feel the house was missing a few things, like games for children, more pans to cook, bigger towels and a coffee maker (we couldn't find it, maybe we missed it?). There was also lots of nettles in the back garden and the kids got stung, which was a pity. The location and grounds are nice, but we were also disappointed by the very nearby town Deheram, it said "bustling market town" but we found it quite ordinary and not specifically attractive- of course this down to personal taste! The good thing is that the house is super close to a Tesco and Lidl, so doing the shopping was convenient and we appreciated this. All in all, the house is fine but we felt a bit disappointed by the lack of attention to details. We rent cottages several times a years so our expectations might have been a bit too high! Once again, i believe this would come down to personal taste and what you are looking for in a cottage when you go on holidays, It just felt a bit too expensive for what it was."

"We really enjoyed our stay. We were a short drive from any super markets so that was easy and within approx 45 mins there was a variety of different beaches, little pubs or sea side towns to enjoy. The cottage was on the owners land up a secluded farm track so although you had privacy and felt set back from every day life, I felt very safe and secure and once out the drive you didnt need to travel far to the nearest small town if you did need anything from any shops. The cottage was lovely. Bed was super comfy, sofa nice and comfy and had everything in the kitchen you could possibly need. It was also spotless and clean and decor was also lovely. Lots of local information packs also available so you could use them to plan your days out. I would be happy to return and use as a base and venture out on different days out around Norfolk."

"We were here for 3 nights to attend a wedding and to allow one day to explore the area. The location suited us for these purposes. The property is in a complex of similar cottages all rather close together. The main disadvantage is that there is no parking at the cottage. 200 yards to car park. However, on arrival, the Golf Club allowed us to drive to the cottage just to unload.Plus points - friendly staff, bar and meals available at the Golf Clubhouse, even if you are not playing golf. Comfortable beds and furniture, (but note that the twin beds in the downstairs bedroom are 2'6", not standard 3ft), nice view from living room windows overlooking fairway, kitchen small but well equipped. Quiet for us because most other cottages on complex vacant at the time.Tesco supermarket in Watton town centre."

"Wonderful place - enormous amounts of room - huge kitchen diner and even larger lounge. Extremely well equipped and beautifully, sympathetically decorated. You will want for nothing. Sparkling clean, very warm, very relaxing. Loads of room in the garden (we call it the park - it is so big) for the kids to play. Games equipment, tennis rackets, swing ball, etc, all provided. Hide and seek in the dark was very popular- especially with granddad! Magnificent welcome pack and the most charming, attentive hosts you have ever met. We have been four times and will be returning in the autumn. It is soooooo....... relaxing. We always go home entirely refreshed! Fabulous cycling for lazy cyclists! Quiet lanes and very few hills. Forest paths are also good."

"Overall, a reasonably well appointed property. Unfortunately, the style of bed mattress (memory foam) did not suit us but I do appreciate that you can't please everyone. A couple of throws in the living room would have been a nice touch as it was a little chilly at this time of year and you don't always want to be bothered lighting the wood burner every night although the wood was plentiful and freely provided. Also, a shaver plug/electric tooth brush adapter would have been useful. Nice location but the the farm track had clearly suffered over the winter and traversing the pot holes on a daily basis caused some stress. Wonderful welcome pack on arrival. Excellent location and close to all of our favourite North Norfolk places."
