What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Open Fires In Hauts De France To Rent.

"Although we had a lovely holiday, the accomodation was disappointing. Cleanliness was not up to scratch, lots of dust, dirty cutlery and cooking pans. The veranda chairs were very uncomfortable, so much so that I went out and bought large cushions so that we could enjoy the outside. Bed linens need updating, as do the towels, which were like sandpaper. In the lounge you could not sit comfortably and watch TV, due to the arrangement of the furniture. Whilst I watch very little TV when on holiday it is nice to have the option. The upstairs bedroom has no furniture, apart from the bed, no bedside light you can read by. There are lights in recesses either side of the bed but they are not practical. The kitchen equipment is sparse, the kettle and the toaster difficult to keep switched on and need replacing. For the cost of this rental I felt really let down. I stayed in a property in Norfolk in April and it was wonderful....chalk and cheese. I expect properties booked through the same company, would have the same standards whatever country they were in."

"This was a family holiday, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting too much, for the money I had paid. It certainly surpassed all of our expectations. The accommodation was just perfect, lots of room and well equipped. It was in a great location for everything, the coast, le touquet just 20 minutes away. (Beautiful) The kids loved the space and the fact that they had their own playground. Nobody spoke English, which was great, it made us all try to speak French, with much mutual hilarity... The hosts were fantastic, even offered us a ride out on the horse and cart. The kids loved that, all getting a turn on the reins. I can't fault this place. I'm considering going back in the summer, and I never ever go back to the same place twice."

"Located in a village where there is no shop, this property is but a short drive from the town of Abbeville. A delightful and unusual cottage situated on a farm where chickens, sheep & horses are to be seen. The only downsides here are the lights (not bright enough to allow for comfortable reading at night) and the cushions on the chairs being somewhat thin. These did not detract too seriously from the enjoyment of staying here. Central heating - essential for our October stay - was very efficient. The owners, Christine & Eric, were very welcoming and helpful. Our stay in Picardy, the first for many years, was wonderful: as was the weather except for one day! A car or motorbike is essential as you have to head out of the village to 'see the sights'."

"Just returned from an extended family holiday here. We had a lovely time and the house was perfect for what we needed.Jean-Luc may not speak much English but he was very friendly and on hand to resolve a small issue with the kitchen sink. The house had everything we needed, the beds were extremely comfortable and we weren't disturbed as the location is very quiet just outside the village. The village is small but had a shop that sold most things you need and we also used the bakers who sold some gorgeous cakes!Chateau Thierry is a 15 minute drive away and we got the train to Paris from there and also drove to Euro Disney so the location is great for sight seeing.I would recommend the house to anyone as it was great value for money."

"It is a beautiful area and the view and house was lovely. However I won't come back unless they change the decoration of bathroom.I was suffering with the really old bathroom specially the shower booth was horrible.Water drain was so bad and it easily full the bottom of shower I had to use minimum of water and turn off few times in the middle of shower. There is a very old washing machine without dryer machine. In bad weather it was hard to dry clothes.Otherwise the area was great we will visit again but we will be more careful with facilities.Water in the bathroom has a strong mould smell so we had to brush our teeth in the kitchen. The owner was very friendly and if these things are fixed we would love to return every year."
