"This was a winner for us ( family of 5 with teenagers and 9 year old) ..the hosts were very kind and gracious despite it being World Cup final day..our arrival was just in time to keep everybody happy. The pool is super, private and such a bonus. The site is out of town , alongside other properties but almost rural...it felt very private. House itself is one of the best equipped we have stayed in ( except, and they know I will say this...an ice box or freezer compartment would have been very good, especially for self catering) However, the ice box is a very small thing...the rest of the property is A1 . Supermarkets are within 2 km . L' orient is no more than 25 mins away . Carnac and the standing stones have to be seen. The property is about 25 -45 mins from most places you may wish to visit , inland and at the coast. But it is a very well priced gem, and I know as I write this I decrease my chances of booking it again...as I would thoroughly recommend it to any similar family...we had such good weather...but it is v well equipped for not so good. Thank you owners for a very decent, well equipped, competitively price property ( get an ice box!)"

"Although the house was lovely and well situated there were a few issues. The main issue was the church bells. No mention of them anywhere in the advertising !!! They ring on the hour every hour with one chime per hour, 1 for 1 o'clock and 12 for 12 o'clock, not once but twice through and a single chime every half hour. Not overly noticeable during the busy day but a nightmare through the night !!!! To add insult to injury they also do a medley of bells at 7am every day, I assume to wake up the village. Consequently we are now suffering from sleep deprivation. We could not find 'The house book' that was mentioned so had no idea about the waste disposal arrangements but used out initiative to sort it. When paying the amount of money we did I do not think this is good enough. One or two maintenance issues need attending to as do the smelly drains !!! Shower in room 5 doesn't function properly, several light bulbs not working and the wifi only seems to work in the kitchen and lounge area with any degree of success. Again for the money paid a poor effort."

"A really lovely, peaceful and spacious* property that was very comfortable for all nine of us. It appears to have been recently refurbished, with a large and nicely landscaped garden, and the pool was excellent and very well maintained. The proprietors were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Some of the best bits of the Loire Valley are only 20 minutes away. The property is quite remote so a car is essential for getting to the shops which are very few and far between in this area. *The only thing we struggled with was the kitchen, which is tiny for a house that sleeps 12 people, and was hard work when trying to cook for everyone. It really does need to be bigger and better equipped for that number of people. We would recommend this for anyone visiting the Loire Valley, so long as you have a car and don't mind some travelling."

"A stunning house in a wonderful location. The pool is fabulous and dining on the terrace on a sunny evening, overlooking the pool and the banks of lavender is a memorable experience. You do need a vehicle as none of the shops are close at hand but the property is ideally placed to visit many lovely places in the region. It’s an ideal holiday venue for larger families or groups but probably better for older children or immobile babies as parents with free-ranging toddlers may find the steps and staircases a little stressful! We have stayed in many properties across Europe with our children and this - by far - has been the nicest. We were all very sad to leave and intend to return."

"Not located as per the details. Remote, dirty and tired cottage. Stuffed fox in the lounge with a blooded woodpecker in its mouth had our daughter in tears. The owner lives in the garage in the overgrown garden which came as a surprise. Dust mites in the bed now mean I have a sore throat from coughing. Cleaning fee of 70 Euros was a joke as we cleaned it ourselves so will be looking for compensation. Owner hard to contact and instructions to find the place make no sense. Well equipped kitchen and warm. Clutterd with personal effects as if the owner has just moved out. With a caring owner this could be lovely but as it is I would suggest keep looking."
