What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages With Open Fires In Carmarthenshire To Rent.
- Mr Baldwin, November 2016 - verified booking
"Hi this was a lovely place and lovely location but in our view there are two factors that let this property down for us. Firstly the garden was not dog proof, we gad to use garden chairs to block the only secure part in to stop our dogs escaping and this was along the side of the property which was a pebble/gravel area. The prime reason is the long driveway that is a rutted path with a higher rise grass rump in the middle and lower tracks either side, along with a mud patch and very dodgy first cattle grid that felt and looked like the bars had slipped and we're not conected. A 4x4 or high chassis vehicle would not find this a problem. I damaged the exhaust on my low chassis car though."

"A really relaxing week away from London, which is just what we wanted. The cottage was lovely, just the right size for a couple, warm and cosy. It had everything we needed. Even though located next to the owners' house, it actually felt really private, including the outdoor space. The owner was friendly and just let us get on with our holiday. The area itself is in beautiful countryside with great walking opportunities, and on a clear night, the stars in the night sky are truly amazing - the best I've seen in Britain. There is also a local pub within walking distance which served good food. We would definitely recommend this cottage."

"Beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings but if your on holiday with dogs I would look at a cottage closer to the beach as we had 2 dogs and we had to drive out very day because there was not many dog walks. There was no signal so if you wanted to use your phone you had to drive out which is a total pain. The stair case in the cottage is not suitable with dogs but my dogs nearly fell down them as there very slippery. The farmer was lovely and when we arrived there was homemade cakes and tea bags so this was very nice. I would recommend this property but if you've got dogs I would choose somewhere near to the beach or more central."

"If your looking for a tranquil retreat, a place full of character, with stone walls, beamed ceilings and lots of space for a large family holiday, then Capel lago is the place to be. However nice you think it looks in the pictures, the reality is even better. The attention to detail that has gone into making this a beautiful and welcoming home from home to be in is an absolute credit to the owner. This is the perfect base for exploring this part of Wales, and the perfect place to come back to at the end of the day. If you want a holiday where you won't want to leave at the end of your stay, then this is it! "

"This is a beautifully renovated cottage with some quirky little features which we loved. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Nice touch with the welcome bottle of wine and Welsh cakes and a very friendly and informative owner to greet you on arrival. It’s in a great location with the village only a 5 min walk away. Beautiful beaches, castles or Brecon Beacons all within a short drive for lovely days out. We had family come to visit and all celebrated the Royal wedding with Pimms and a cream tea in the garden which was great fun. We would stay here again and would highly recommend it."
