"Nice neighbourhood, friendly neighbours. Good location for local small convenience store, baker and butcher (10-15 min walk). Nearest town 10-15 min drive providing supermarkets and large market twice weekly.Car required for excursions.External area including heated pool clean and comfortable. (Garden and pool attended once a week).Lots of walking both from the doorstep and further afield. Trails well marked but there are no maps provided in the villa. A trip to the Tourist information in Voiron provided a local map with all the trails for 5 euros. Well worth buying if you are there for the walking. We felt the cleaning charge was rather steep at 120 euros for the four of us. The house could have been cleaner which was a little disappointing having paid the charge on arrival. It was dusty with quite a few cobwebs and the cutlery and plates required a spin through the dishwasher before being used. We also bought bleach for the toilets. We were met by the lady owner who was very helpful and friendly. We were told of two large repairs that were needing done to the house. One was the patio doors leading from the living room out into the outside seating/eating area being unable to be used. There were another set of patio doors leading from the kitchen to the same area which were fine, however the through flow of the house was interrupted due to this. The other repair was needing to be carried out on the induction hob in the kitchen. One of the large cooking rings wasn't working which didn't pose us a problem as there were only four in our party. The other two smaller rings were sufficient alongside the external barbecue. The dishwasher and washer/dryer all worked well."

"Disappointing cottage. Overall, shabby without the chic. With a fair amount of work this could be a pretty little place but currently it's quite run down. The pool really isn't clean and has a very heavy, unwieldy cover that you have to grapple with twice daily as the pool must be covered at night. There are no comfortable seats anywhere. From the battered selection of dining chairs provided for sitting outside, to the uncomfortable lounge seats. The main bedroom is best described as monastic, with it's less than fresh bed and the thinnest pillows I've ever come across. The bathroom is dingy and the shower head broken. You are advised to bring your own towels, I took this to mean pool towels but it does in fact, mean everything, even tea towels! We couldn't get Wi-Fi connection as the password was incorrect. The owners speak no English whatsoever and our French is limited to holiday basics so it wasn't easy to communicate re arrival times etc. I emailed, as advised, to let them know we were arriving but never received a response. A little unsettling to be unsure your host knows you're arriving.Flies are a major issue around the house and patio areas. It simply wasn't possible to dine outside because of them. I'm assuming this is a regular issue so perhaps some screening should be added. There was the remains of a fly screen on the door but it only covered the half that didn't open anyway so was useless. The decision to leave early and check into a hotel with a wonderful shower and clean bed linen was the best thing about our stay."

"If you want your very own piece of Provençal heaven then a stay at Villa Saint Restitut will give you just that. On the outside it looks traditional but within the beautiful stone walls are all the mod cons you need for a perfect holiday. The swimming pool was amazing and our two children loved spending as much time as they could in it. Saint Restitut is a beautiful village with a couple of great eateries, especially Bistrot Sidoine which is a fantastic tapas restaurant, but make sure you book a table as it gets booked up quickly. There is also a bakery and tea room. Just a few minutes away is Saint Paul Trois Chateaux which has a couple of large supermarkets for everyday essentials.Lucien who owns the villa was very helpful with local information and was on hand if we needed anything and was a perfect host.Would we go back? Absolutely! It truly was a beautiful place to stay that felt like home as soon as we had unpacked our cases."

"We had a wonderful holiday at the villa. The location and view is breathtaking and the villas is spacious and well equipped. The owners are extremely friendly and even offered us fresh eggs and veg from their allotment. Our boys loved the pool and the villa is very well designed to provide complete privacy from the owners. We don’t generally return to the same place, but are extremely tempered to return here. The only criticism is that it seemed a bit odd to pay for electricity and gas separately. It made checking out awkward and it would be better if they just included this in the overall hire of the villa. We also had to additionally pay for bed linen, towels and a clean separately from the hire cost. Otherwise, a wonderful holiday in a beautiful part of France."

"Maison Saint Restitut is fantastic for a large group, it's very rustic with lots of character. We had 18 stay and there was plenty of room. The kitchen is well equipped to cater for large groups. It was very clean and towels were provided. The pool is not heated but is excellent, a great size, well maintained and very clean, having a shallow end was great for the children. The pool house had a toilet and shower which was very useful. All the showers tended to leak a bit but there was always hot water. A good mix of rooms and beds to cater for a mixed group.Location is great for exploring Provence a car is essential. It helps to speak some French as all the information in the house is in French probably as expected!"
