"Thankyou for a really nice last minute getaway the peak district is a lovely place....this was the first time we have ever taken our dog with us and it was amazing the cottage has everything you could want.a very luxury feel even down to the drinking glasses!my only issue would have been the bed in the main bedroom. would have preferred it to be kingsize/superking size but I am 6ft5 and is always an issue when going places to stay over not the cottages fault....more mine but I think If you ever upgrade do it to a king size or superking it would warrant a few more ££££s per stay but totally worth it for me personally.the garden is also lovely to sit in and relax.the parking could of been an issue....I was going to bring 2 cars because we were bringing the dog and the kids bikes etc and had seen on the reviews about there being enough parking for 2 cars in front of the cottage..we parked directly infront of our cottage and on the night had a neighbour knocking on the door telling us that was her spot and we would have to move forward next time we went out.she told us our parking is just on the concrete next to the posts wich made it more difficult to get out and in after we were blocked in by the neighbour I'm just glad we didn't bring the 2 cars as one review says you can park in a lay by down the road but while we were there that lay by was taken up by 3 cars someone local was selling.so could of been a big issue as no parking anywhere for possibly a mile each way of the cottage."

"We arrived in beautiful weather, no problems with parking at any time during the week - there was always a place close to the property. This was a classic "two up two down" Peak District cottage that has been brought bang up to date with lots of mod cons. For example, the kitchen had under floor heating and every utensil you would need for a weeks stay. The view from the kitchen across to the fields, sheep and moors, was lovely. The TV was a 'Smart' one, and made a real change from the usual tiny old style TVs you often get in rental properties. The bedrooms were so comfortable too - we both slept like logs, and we appreciated the fact that there was no traffic noise as the main road now by-passes the village. It must be said that Hayfield itself is an absolute gem of a place! It is picturesque, has several really good pubs for both real ale and good-value food, lovely little shops, a unique connection with 'Dad's Army' (and other TV series), easy access to the moors, and a church that has a stream actual flowing underneath it. From the property, it is a very short walk into the village, everything is on your doorstep and if you wanted to venture further afield, Manchester is a short ( and very cheap) train ride from nearby NewMills. In short, it is a great village to explore and a fab little cottage to base yourself in - highly recommended, and we want to go again!"

"Stayed for a week in this wonderful cottage recently and cannot praise it enough. Fabulously designed with comfort at its heart. Plenty of crockery etc. in the kitchen with an understairs cupboard with washer and dryer. Beds were really comfortable and the views in the morning were superb. I commandeered the chaise in the bedroom every morning for a read and a cuppa, bliss! There were games in the lounge cupboard and a TV with freesat although we didn't use much as The George Hotel was our regular haunt in the evening. Great food, reasonably priced and very friendly locals and staff. There is not an allotted parking space but we were able to park outside on the road every day. Hayfield has a bus stop (across the main road) if you feel like not driving. We visited Buxton & Glossop this way. It also has a small visitors centre and is at the start of a very easy amble to New Mills (The Sett Valley Trail) about 2.5 miles. A great little cottage in a really beautiful area. We will return."

"As the proud owners of a beautiful Dalmatian, we are used to dog friendly cottages that can be a little 'chewed' around the edges. Three Glossop Road was certainly not that, beautifully appointed, very comfortable - pocket sprung double bed (new John Lewis mattress), Woodburning stove, top of the range TV and a powerful and warm shower. There was even a pint of fresh milk, coffee and biscuits when we arrived! Coupled with a great Wi-Fi connection this was home from home. 3 minor things, the stairs are a little steep as befits a property of this age and the courtyard garden is small we also discovered after we booked that 4 days booking was the same price as booking for a week! But these are very minor quibbles, and we are already planning a return visit to this cottage. In short a beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting!"

"We had a great stay in this wonderful house. We felt intermediately welcomed by the friendly decor, the milk and cookies left for us and the books and games we found. The house is not terribly large but we felt right at home with the cosy atmosphere. Bedrooms upstairs where a decent size and offered wonderful views of the town and the surrounding countryside. Wonderful kitchen (loved the stove and sink!) and cosy livingroom with the woodburning stove and cosy blankets to curl under with a good book in the evening. The bathroom was on the small side but clean and watertemperature and pressure were great. Hayfield itself was a great base for local walks en trips further afield and had everything needed with shops and several pubs."
