"The children and I enjoyed the pool. This was the main reason for staying. We felt it could have been open longer than 6pm.Inside the cottage I was disappointed to see there was no dishwasher and I had to wash all crockery before use. The hob was useless as the dials had no indication if how hot the hob was. I spent a lot of time with them all at different positions moving pans around to cool food. Very frustrating.I noticed that this negative was on a previous review and still nothing has been done. A bit complacent. The bathroom was dirty and needs an upgrade. As there was lots of flies due to the horses in the field, maybe fly screens on the windows as this was another off putting feature.I would not stay again as felt that it was definitely overpriced and not worth the price I paid."

"Another fab few days at Grooms cottage. The 7th time we have stayed so I guess that pretty much says it all. Proper home from home and relaxing time. Cottage up to the usual great standard .New settee and chair are lovely, although we loved the old one too. We use Brankley farm cottages as a base when we visit my family in Staffs and visit friends in Derby . All three cottages are fantastic ,we have been in total 10 times . Grooms cottage ideal for our needs ,easy access for wheelchair and walk in shower a plus too. Love sitting in the garden with my morning coffee overlooking the field and horses. The pool and jacuzzi is another big plus for both me and my son, especially after the long drive down from Scotland. Lovely to catch up with Jayne and Jason again. See you soon, Corinne &Sam"

"Being a full time wheelchair user I was really excited to read that this gorgeous cottage and surroundings were accessible but unfortunately the two main things that attracted it to us were not accessible which were the pool and jacuzzi and the patio to the amazing views of the fields and horses. If a shower chair is put inside the cottage it would be fine. We still appreciated how gorgeous everything was and still had a lovely time but we are hoping that the above will be rectified for the next guests that are expecting the same accessibility. If not, this definitely needs to be noted on the website as you have an option to tick wheelch air accessiblity which is exactly why we used your website to book our main holiday. Unfortunately we feel like we didn't get what we paid for."

"Beautiful house with lots of space. However, it was difficult to find in the dark - limited instructions from the owners. We also requested the hot tub without realising that it cost an additional £300!! Absolutely ridiculous. I would not have booked this cottage if I had known - that was a primary reason we chose to stay here and then we didn't end up having it. We would have been happy to pay a hot tub deposit or a small fee, but £300 for the weekend was extortionate. The owners were totally unprofessional in dealing with our request - at one point we spoke to a teenage boy on the phone who didn't have a clue how to deal with our phone call. It was a real shame that these things put a dampner on the weekend because it was otherwise a lovely house."

"Fantastic place to stay for our week away with the little guy and rest of the family. The pool added that extra piece of 'holiday' to our stay and was clean and heated. Cooking facilities and utensils were all catered for. Beds were comfy and it was very quiet at night time. Shower was hot every time we used it. The nearby road had minimal traffic and suitable for walking the dog on a lead. Within a mile, there was a public area to let the Dog off the lead to have a good run around. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and they were approachable if we needed anything. Only slight criticism for Peacock Cottage is the second bedroom is a bit tight for space. However, we got used to it after a couple of days. Would stay here again."
