"This stable conversion is in a lovely location in the middle of the Cotswolds countryside. Even though the main road is near you can't really hear any traffic noises, so it is very peaceful. I don't know if the other attached lets had guests but we weren't really disturbed if they did. The nearest town is Winchcomb, a five minute drive away. There was milk, tea, sugar & biscuits waiting for us, which was a nice touch and appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped, although I never cooked during our stay. It would have been nice to have had an all purpose cleaner spray to hand, which I could have used on the sink and in the bathroom, but that's a minor thing. The owner also popped across to say hello, and recommend a place to eat. She was very friendly. We visited some nice places inc Sudeley Castle, the local steam railway, and drove down to Weston Super Mare when the sun finally came out. However, the accommodation does seem a bit dated, and is set out in a way that we felt, didn't make the best use of the space. The poor wooden worktops in the kitchen desperately need sanding down and re-oiling. As other guests have said, the sette/bed in the living room is the most uncomfortable I've ever sat on, & should really be replaced. The guttering above the bedroom windows needs fixing, as the torrential rain we had one day was running down the windows and it's obviously this that has rotted the bottoms of both bedroom windows, which need sorting as it looks very unkempt and neglected. The whole patio could have done with a good sweep, and the round patio table & chairs needed a sand down and re-stain/varnish. I know these are only minor things,( & time consuming), but it would look so much better for it! In conclusion, it's a nice enough place for a short stay, but i'm glad we weren't there for a whole week. I think that with a bit of money spent, some imagination & TLC, the owners could make so much more of S16102."

"We could not have been made more welcome at S16965. On arrival, after a leisurely drive through stunning countryside, the cottage was spotlessly clean. We were given a tour and shown how to work everything. Then, we were given fresh milk for tea and left to unpack. In the kitchen, there were also freshly-laid eggs from the family's hens together with apples, pears and plums from the orchard, a delicious banana cake and even a bottle of wine from the vineyard. It was all rather overwhelming. The cottage faces West, so the sunsets were amazing. The lack of light pollution meant that the night skies were brilliant for stargazing. Whilst there was good wifi provided for reliable internet connection, mobile phone reception was virtually nil. It was so quiet and peaceful. The only disturbances were the occasional mooing of cows from a nearby dairy farm and the owners' cat and two delightfully batty black labs. Never before now have I seen a dog sitting on hind legs and reaching up to pick off and eat plums and pears! It was a wonderfully relaxing break. The only drawback were some of the roads which were quite narrow. You really need to know the width of your car and have a good sat nav or, better still, an OS map to keep you on the right roads"

"Lovely cottage in beautiful setting, sitting outside in the afternoon overlooking the vines really special. Peaceful and quiet but with easy access to owners next door if you need anything and who were welcoming. Friendly dogs and extra friendly cat - (not suitable for those who don't like animals, however we do!) It is out in the country and not particularly near any shops but that suited us and not too far from Ledbury, a lovely town and the beautiful Malvern Hills. Bedroom overlooks owners garden and sheds so often people around outside in the day but not a problem for us. Twin beds on mezzanine so officially accommodates 4 but as the only bathroom is through the main bedroom I would say is really only suitable for older children as the room is open to the floor below and may be disturbing for those who go to bed early and a little dangerous for the very young. Also not suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet, steps to cottage quite steep and the bath is also very deep and has no handrail. Ideal for two people though, the cottage is quite small. However, absolutely fine for us and the surrounding area is lovely with lots to see and do. No phone signal though."

"The cottage is more of a chalet. And I would'nt think it is for 4, depends on what you like and I would agree that the sofa needs new seating cushions. The cottage is everything you need for a holiday and if you like walking. The kitchen is small but o.k. If you need another work top you can jam the metal hot stand across the sink with the chopping board on it. There are lots of info in the cottage about the area and loads of walks they have printed off for you. There is a farm called Hayles fruit farm where you can pick your own apples and pears off the trees and pay for them in the shop and the Orchard café is fab. If you like walking I'm not too sure if there is a path to it. You can go by road but I suggest you drive slow. The Pheasant pub also does fab meals. You can go into Winchcombe town center (also fab) on foot and to supermarket. Walk down the lane where the pottery is (opposite the cottage lane) and walk behind the bushes (for safety) then turn left at the three ways house then straight down all the way. If your there on a Sunday you should try Rosie's for lunch, wow."

"Meerkat Cottage is in a delightful location, very close to Liskeard (2.5 miles) and local supermarkets, and great for exploring the north and south coasts of Cornwall. The kitchen is very well equipped (sharp knives and storage containers a bonus), there are TVs in the lounge and both bedrooms, with built in DVD players (great if you have kids). The beds were clean, if a little saggy, and towels were provided. On the down-side, the cottage very clearly has a damp problem as there were damp traps in every room and every wardrobe and the base cupboard in the kitchen smelt terrible. There were cobwebs and spiders in every corner and bits and dog hairs all over the bedroom carpets. The sills on the windows and doors were filthy too, in fact the whole place could do with a jolly good clean. Contract cleaners clearly do the bare minimum and I would not stay here again.Oh, almost forgot to mention the extension lead in the second bedroom which is a trip-hazard when you are trying to get to the wardrobe contents."
