"The cottage itself is beautiful. It's bigger than what the pictures portray. You have everything you need dish washer, washing machine etc.. Not the cleanest of places. Plus we were welcomed to the arrival of unwanted guests. Flying ants. Not the owners fault totally appreciate. Called them on arrival to just let them know found ant powder just get on with it. The contact not sure what to do. Not least sorry. There was loads. Each day we were coming back vacuuming ants. Third day in came back late after noon and they came back with a vengeance. Tried to call no response. Texted and got a call back. Again telling me I don't know what to do. Explained it's worse. Again no apologises just best get the maintenance guy out. She was telling me oh not had any problems must of just come. Told her no way had there been no issue before. There was ant powder out side for starters. The maintenance guy was most sorry. He explained that they have had lots of problems with ants this year. Contradicted what I was told. We showed him where they were as they were physically in the living room area. He vacume and sprayed and left the spray with us. No body at the end of the day cab help the ants. I get that totally. I felt the second time I called it was an effort for her. No sorry no follow up call to check that we are ok. The amount we pay to rent out for a week this would go a long way. Such a shame as the overall barn itself was lovely. Little things to improve your stay. No tea and coffee. I left mine behind for the next people. After travelling it's always welcome to have tea and coffee. Nothing at all"

"20-7-18 - 27-7-18, 6 adults 6 kids. we had a lovely time the barn is beautiful, well thought about. the pictures do not do it justice for the space available. it's private secure for kids to run around. The hot tub was amazing and perfect for us parents to relax after a day entertaining the kids. the wine fridge was a big hit too.. excellent bathrooms enough for us all. we went on the hottest week of the year so far and truly enjoyed our visit.. our only suggestions would be and not at all in any negative way to the place because it was home from home but because of the temperature we defintley had alot of flys in the living room/kitchen think a electric fly zapper could be useful, I know this heat is unusually so it might not be worth it but maybe air con units in the two upstairs bedrooms .. we really hope we will make it back here one day soon and will miss sitting out in evening with the chiminer going, gin in hand enjoying the stars.. thankyou from all 12 of us .. for a memorable wonderful holiday. Tipping, Lawrence, Fields, Mettam family x"

"A wonderful cottage, very warm, enough space for all, welcoming persons with lovely Sharron showing us round and Rosie the horse to greet us. Everything was explained to us on arrival and we had a wonderful family holiday. Some of the family did say that the beds were a bit too soft for their tastes but it’s personal taste’s. Our only suggestion would be to put a TV in the master room as there is plenty of space and perhaps a chair in the master en-suite for your clothes and towels. Thank you all and we shall be back :) Alex, Claire & the Gang"

"Very welcoming, superbly appointed property for visiting all the nearby landmarks. Well appointed car park area. Exceedingly clean and ultra modern entrance/kitchen area. Cosy lounge . Ground floor bedroom ideal for those with mobility problems. Reasonable sized garden for active small children. Landlord very helpful. Only drawback having to get in and out of car for the initial gate into the property. Automatic gate!!!! We would definitely visit again to take in the those sites we missed the first time."

"Great cottage, with very friendly and helpful owners. Dog friendly and beautiful surrounding. Cottage was lovely and very well laid out. Good location to visit a number of attractions within about a hours drive including Longleat, Cardiff, Cheddar Gorge and of course the lovely beaches of Weston Super Mare (dog friendly beach at Brean). Thanks for a great break The only reason for stating that I wouldn't book again is because the world is a big place and I don't like to try the same place twice."
