More Norfolk Broads Cottages

The Norfolk Broads, a National Park full of surprises. This is the only British National Park with a city in it, and there are more waterway miles here than in Venice! Famed for it’s stunning sunsets and glistening waters, a trip to the Broads is sure to be one you won’t forget.

Naturally, as the Norfolk Broads are made up of many meandering waterways, a good option here is to take a day trip by boat to really experience the National Park in all its glory. However, here are also many paths to walk and cycle if you’d rather stay on firm ground. Market towns and quaint villages can be found dotted across the Broads so if you need somewhere to stop for refreshment there are plenty of pubs and tea shops to choose from here.

"We have stayed at this property before & this was the worse time ever.Dirt under the bread bin aswell as the microwave.Cobwebs.Insufficient cutlery, soup spoons instead of dessert spoons,5 tea spoons,Plates too shallow, bowls too big.The house needs more hooks,i.e.in the bathroom & bedrooms.Coat hooks far too small for lots of coats to hang.Vacuum cleaner absolutely useless.Kettle leaks & coated in limescale!!!!! YUK. Bin in kitchen far too small for 5 people. No spare lightbulbs. The drain smelt of effluent even tho that was reported. No cleaning products in house.Suggestions were left last year in a comment book, caretaker comments were 'its a self catering property'.Unable to leave property as clean as we normally would. So,be aware & bring your own house.Location is good."

"We did enjoy our time here and the beach is lovely, very suitable for a family with young children. I know the cottage is advertised as not having wifi, but there is also no phone signal to speak of and no pay phones, so be aware as it makes finding out about local places and making bookings very hard. The cottage is very clean, modern and bright, though I'd recommend supplying os maps and considering an upgrade of the cooker and a dishwasher, as no one likes doing the dishes on holiday. The village is lovely as is Staltham, and the cottage was well supplied with things to enjoy the sands, especially the windbreak! We were lucky to see the local seals too, and enjoyed an evening beach barbecue a great deal."

"Great location for exploring Norfolk. The beach at Sea Palling is great for dogs and for long walks, it's beautiful. We found the property to be clean and well presented. We traveled down from Cumbria and this is a very long journey to say the least. The static caravan park at the rear of the property was very quiet whilst we were there (early September) but don't know what it would be like at peak times. The garden is very dog friendly and the rear is totally secure with high fencing all round. We really enjoyed our holiday and have no problem recommending S17315 from our experience whilst staying there. We are a couple with 2 dogs and found that the property was a perfect size for our needs."

"Was a very good, comfortable place to stay. Felt that the kitchen was well equipped, only thing I would say would be that the cooker could do with some improvement but was manageable. The bathroom was clean, and the power shower was very good. Only thing wrong with the bathroom was that the lock on the bathroom door didn't seem to work. General point that some doors didn't really seem to shut properly. The garden was enclosed and safe which was great for our dog. The french doors in the living room ideally need a curtain! The location of the property was very good with a number of varied walks, especially if you have dogs. Overall we had a lovely time in S17287 and would go back in the future."

"We loved our stay in S70835. There is vast amounts of space to relax, both indoors and outdoors. The barn is very clean and has all the amenities you might need. We spent lots of time sitting outside on the comfortable garden furniture, enjoying the views and the hot tub. There is a bridleway that backs on to the property allowing easy walks and runs. A small Tescos is within walking distance so there is little need to use your car if you want to stay local. Pete is a very kind host, dropping off fresh eggs from his chickens, and even some sausages from his pigs! We felt very well cared for and have already booked to return next year. Highly recommended."
