Naturally, as the Norfolk Broads are made up of many meandering waterways, a good option here is to take a day trip by boat to really experience the National Park in all its glory. However, here are also many paths to walk and cycle if you’d rather stay on firm ground. Market towns and quaint villages can be found dotted across the Broads so if you need somewhere to stop for refreshment there are plenty of pubs and tea shops to choose from here.

"We had a lovely time at high canonsBut had to wash all the pans the cups plates etc they where disgusting frying pan thick of greace, the extractor hood above the cooker is thick of grease with a dead spider stuck to it photo available , the tea pot is black inside photo available ,the water when boiled the kettle was undrinkable disgusting because there was so much lime scale we bought descale solution it took a full day for it to clear this should be done or checked regularly the front door could benefit from draft excluder when it was really windy it was acutely blowing the blinds inside the accommodation which affected the temperature we had to use a blanket to keep warm, the hight of the wasing line is dangerous for tall people especially in the dark the only other issue was parking as the people in the adjoining accommodation had 3 cars making it difficult for us to park anywhere it the office had been open you would have had a fone call This would not put us off staying again provided the cleaner does the job they are paid to do the rest of the accommodation was clean and comfortable"

"This was the worst cottage we have ever stayed in.The lounge REEKED of stale dog,We had to buy an air freshner and open windows just to go in the room. The tv was very small. The conservatory had 6 foot high weeds almost touching the glass blocking views and restricting light. The lounge window was similary affected. The mattress on the bed lacked support. The shower attatchment over the bath had no power at all and only gave a drizzle of water. We therefore used a jug from the kitchen to wash our hair,The hot water stopped working on the Friday morning..The garden had a small lawn but the rest of the "tiered garden "was so overgrown with weeds that were up to 6ft high it was unusable. The gate to enter the cottage grounds was laying in the hedge. The cottage is located on a sharp bend and we could not believe how busy and noisy the road was at times."

"This house has an amazing potential, very spacious inside, there were 4 families staying and there was plenty of space in living areas, dining areas and bedrooms and outdoor area. The location is fantastic, 3 min walking to the beach and less than 10 min to the lovely Ship Inn and centre of Mundesley. The house is comfortable enough, however is very dated and needs a complete revamping in terms of decoration, furniture, and maybe an introduction of a shower in the big bathroom and a radiator in the shower room downstairs. The couple who has just bought this house has great plans for this and I would very much look forward to coming back once this has been done. We had a lovely weekend away and were very well looked after by the owners. Communication with them was excellent!"

"S60990 was stunning. The location meant it was so quiet and serene but you felt safe and secure on a gated community plot and yet local amenities weren't too far away. The lodge itself was exceptional. Cleaned to perfection and decorated to the highest standard. We were short of nothing and the beds were so comfortable and towels extra fluffy. The children loved seeing the ducks and their ducklings every day in front of the lodge. The hottub was greatly received at the end of the day for an evening chillout and the sizeable upstairs living room with top of the range TV, dvd collection and games was great for the one rainy day we had.ĺ Debbie has thought of everything and it really was a wonderful base for our first visit to Norfolk. Highly recommended!"

"First impression seemed nice but found a few issues ..no showing around the property on arrival or on departure which didn’t seem friendly. Found the settees to be un comfortable a nd the tv on the wall was far too small for the size of room. The kitchen bin was only a pedal bin(worn) and only a few spare bags left.meanness with kitchen products..no kitchen roll, although holder there, only a few dish washer tablets and only a couple of tea towels.A lot more thought for the kitchen was needed. The bathroom bin was scruffy ,also the toilet cleaner was rusty, and no spare toilet rolls,The welcome pack hadn’t been given much thought ...Was left with an overall feeling of meanness so with regret I wouldn’t choose owls roost again."
