"My husband and I had the most amazing time last week at Tranquility Cottage in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset. As soon as we pulled up, We couldn't believe the beauty of it. Something out of a fairy tale. And it was ours... well... for a week! Our four legged fur baby, Stella absolutely fell in love with the cottage., particularly the log fire. My husband enjoyed his evenings chopping wood up ready for the evening fire... which we all spent the entire day look g forward to!Kate, the fabulous fairy house mother ensured that we were supplied with he essentials (toiletries, fresh linen, towels, tea, coffee, biscuits etc) and the delightful added extras of the white wine and the box of chocolates which were there to greet us on our arrival. Such lovely and thoughtful touches which added to the luxuries of this gorgeous pad!Since we have come back to our home on the Wirral, we have the serious 'holiday blues!' We have been on the same website we booked this cottage through looking for other stays and we can not help comparing every cottage to Tranquility Cottage and nothing even comes close! We have been on and will contknue to use rightmove.com in the hope that something similar will catch our eye! To us, it was paradise! A beautiful way of life!My husband and I cant wait to return and Stella can't wait to get her paws toasty by the fire again! Thank you for a magical week!"

"This was a short notice booking and I couldn't have picked anywhere nicer. It was simple and easy to book, details were emailed to me and I spoke to the owner re arrival times, etc. The cottage was much larger than expected (the photos didn't do it justice), was quiet, peaceful and had everything I could need for a relaxing, enjoyable break away from the rat-race. Beautiful garden to relax in at the end of the day and although the owners live in the adjoining property, I was left alone to just go about my business. Spotlessly clean, probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in while away and a lovely welcome basket of fresh bread, wine, butter and milk to start me off. Centrally located to get to all the tourist spots but also within a few minutes' walk of a lovely sandy harbour/bay with clear water to swim in, beach huts, cafe and an excellent children's play area. I hope to stay at Spindrift again later in the year and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. A perfect little gem of a find."

"Airy and bright, carefully looked after by friendly owner but also allowing privacy too- ideal combination. Great location, edge of Wool and by farm, so you feel right in the countryside but pub nearby, good Wi-Fi and easy access both to Wool for all the basics and to road network avoiding Wool constrictions for coast etc. Welcome tea tray much appreciated. Property description accurate - thank you! Photos make property seem smaller than it really is - classic "deceptively spacious" cottage- plenty of room for our family. Stairs to upstairs bedroom are wide but quite steep for anyone with mobility issues but easy access to twin room downstairs. Thoughtfully equipped - so nice to have a cottage where the lighting means you can read and not just watch TV! TV also had DVD slot which we appreciated. Allocated parking space just outside cottage on lane. We didn't need the owner's help but sure she would sort any issues. Great stay - many thanks. We will come again."

"The cottage suited our party of 5 adults and 5 children, particularly the spacious bedrooms with ensuites. The downstairs living room is a little crowded for a big party but the kitchen is a decent size and well-stocked. The house is right next to a train track and level crossing but this wasn't problematic (perhaps because we were there over a quieter holiday period!). However, it's something to bear in mind if you are noise-sensitive. There are 2 fairly decent pubs in the immediate area, within walking distance but otherwise everything else is a car drive away. There was a lack of information in the cottage about keys, rubbish, heating etc and no information on the local area. It would have been helpful to have a folder of general information to help orientate guests. All in all a pleasant stay and good value for money."

"Enjoyed staying at this very comfy, homely flat in a very quiet street a few hundred yards from a very nice park on waters edge. (we did visit in mid November so can't say how quiet or busy this location is in summer) There are a few small beaches along the park front even when the tide is in but these are very small, but there is plenty of space to sit in the park very near the waters edge. The flat had everything you could need, very well equipped full kitchen, cooked a full roast dinner with ease. Heating was very efficient, bed was very comfortable, with high quality bedding. Very nice welcome basket was left by the owners which was most appreciated. Thank you to our host for finding out info about Remembrance day commemorations for end of WWI in advance of our visit."
