"The bungalow was not clean when we arrived and looked as though it had not been thoroughly cleaned for some time. Quilt on double bed was not big enough to make sleeping comfortable and warm; quality of bedding very worn. Shower in bathroom outdated; shower head far too high& not adjustable; when shower was running in bathroom temperature could be dangerously hot if someone turned on tap at wash hand basin. Toilet seat not secure so using toilet was uncomfortable. No hand rail to assist in getting in/out of bath. No plug for electric razor. No shelf for toiletries. No light above bathroom mirror. Kitchen short of condiments ie. salt, pepper, vinegar - if you arrive late and want to cook a meal, if would be helpful to have those to use. No where to hang dresses or trousers as all cupboard loaded at bottom with spare bed clothes. Neither bedside lamps worked in the main bedroom - one needed a new bulb and the other just wouldn't work. Good idea to say torches in cupboard that we could use - but batteries dead. Looks good leaving a bottle of wine, but better spend money on a washing up liquid and a decent dishcloth - certainly we would have appreciated that far more. Will stop here, but most or the reasons that we would not return. Suffolk as a county is lovely, though."

"What a beautiful lodge. It is very tastefully decorated to a high standard and is spotlessly clean. It has all the amenities you need. Parking enough for 3 cars, plenty of storage space. All kitchen equipment including the necessities. All towels are provided for both bathroom and hot tub plus robes. There is a utility room with washer and dryer along with ironing facilities. Beds and pillows are really comfy and black out blinds are at the windows, we slept really well. The lodge is in the middle of nowhere and a car is needed to visit local areas. There is no pub or shops in the area. Tara is very welcoming and friendly and she gave us some great recommendations for bike rides, pubs and places to go. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again and recommend."

"We booked for Christmas and S18034 proved to be exactly what we wanted. Comfortable, warm, cosy with a well equipped kitchen and a light and spacious sitting room. We brought our dog with us and the cottage was perfect for him with easy to clean flooring in all but the bedrooms and plenty of space to set up his crate. The location is ideal for lots of dog walks and the Kings Arms pub in Haughley, a couple of miles away, is very cosy and dog (and human) friendly . The cottage owner was very friendly and helpful. There was a tea tray and chocolate biscuits waiting for us on arrival and after a 3 hour journey this was very welcome. We would happily book again and highly recommend S18034."

"Perfect base of operations. The accommodation was extremely good. Very clean, very modern, everything you could need. The only thing that knocked the overall rating down was the fact that the listing says that it is detached, technically yes, but it is actually an annexe on the side of the property. Still plenty of privacy, shared garden though. My own personal preference is I would have preferred a separate, private garden. But....the shared garden was amazing. The owners were very friendly and were more than happy for us to have a walk around the garden and use it as our own. The garden is breathtakingly beautiful, with 3 acres of land to roam around in, it was peaceful and perfect."

"This cottage is really lovely. The rooms are spacious, full of light and beautifully and comfortably furnished and decorated. It has French doors onto a patio which receives the sun all day and into early evening. Inside it had everything we needed and lots of little luxuries on top. The owner was on hand to help with any query but our privacy was complete. From it we visited many lovely places of completely different character from traditional seaside towns, to old country villages, wildlife reserves and the Abbey Gardens and churches of Bury St Edmunds. We are not big on dining out or visiting pubs so cannot comment on that aspect."
