"I regret marking this property down a bit as a little effort would improve it. One of the double beds is very difficult for 2 people to share. It is pushed into a corner of the room and has a large wardrobe against half of the foot of the bed. This means that it would be impossible for 2 people to use it without disruption. Fortunately there were only 4 of us and one couple used the twin room which was a tight fit. They used the spare double room as a store/dressing room! The wet room is exactly that! There is nowhere to put a towel without it getting wet and there is nothing to sit on. The wet room floor is pebbles - looks interesting but is uncomfortable on the feet. Do all the taps in the property have to have a different way of turning on? - annoying. There is no excuse for a number of lights not working (some had no bulbs and others had dead bulbs!). It is also dangerous to have a ceiling rose with no cover thus exposing the wiring. There is a 'trench' some of the way along the right hand side of the rear garden and this is a danger to children. There is also an overhanging laburnum tree any part of which is of course poisonous. The photos need to be updated as they are in part misleading. I am sorry to have been critical as we enjoyed our holiday despite the faults of the property. Had there been 6 of us, we would have complained on arrival. Also we did not comment in the Visitors Book because our complaints can easily be remedied by the owner taking more notice of the state of the building. Perhaps he should go there for a weekend with five others and see how well he manages!"

"Really enjoyed our stay at ‘S81185’ The weather was fabulous which made our holiday very relaxing, particularly enjoying the veranda and balcony of the South facing property. We found this accommodation a good base to explore Norfolk, and travelled to Southwold, Wroxham( for a fantastic 2 hour boat trip), Horsey beach, Cromer, Sheringham, Aylsham and of course Great Yarmouth. We found that The Priory restaurant which is just down the road was great for a good meal in quirky surroundings. Seems very popular place which would need to be booked in advance at weekends.Just nearby the lodge is the Redwings horse sanctuary which is well worth a visit, in order to see how well the horses and donkeys are looked after and the opportunity to walk round ( no admission cost) and support the wonderful work there. There were no immediate shops nearby but we ordered our shopping online from Tesco’s in Great Yarmouth and it was delivered successfully at the start of our holiday.Would definitely recommend especially good for golfers who have access to the course on your doorstep!"

"The cottage was very clean and quite well equipped with a lovely new bathroom. The owners were friendly. However we discovered late in the day that check in was strictly 4pm and check out 10am (even though there were only 3/8 properties occupied that weekend) so it worked out very expensive for what was a 2 and a bit days stay. We could have stayed 2 nights in a coastal hotel B and B for the same price. The complex is in need of some gentle modernisation and refurbishment after 18 years constant use - for example we took DVDs for the children in the evening but there was a rather old VHS video player. The swimming pool was a great bonus as the weather was sunny and warm but not sure how it would cope with 8 families as it was full with 2. All in all an enjoyable weekend break for our grandchildren. Thank goodness for the sunshine."

"The cottage is compact and well equipped. We were four adults accustomed to our own space so would have found it a bit too "cosy" if there had been seven of us. We stayed during the very cold snap in March and the cottage was very warm and cosy. We hardly used the lovely log burner. The "welcome pack" included basics such as eggs, milk and bread as well as treats. All the basic household items such as dishwasher and washing machine tablets were provided, which we knew before we left home, from a pre-visit telephone conversation. We didn't need to visit a supermarket all week as there are brilliant specialist shops in Sherringham and Cley. Friendly pub in the local village for meals out. Sherringham Park within walking distance. Lovely bracing walking along the cliffs and a great base to explore North East Norfolk."

"Everything was clean and up to date, the decor was nice and a lot of effort had gone into making the small space welcoming. The host's welcome was warm and the hamper much appreciated. Our problem was that the double bed was very small and not comfortable for us so we didn't sleep well. The twin room beds were ok for our kids. The only other criticism was that there were not proper curtains or blinds, just daylight blinds as you have in an office, so in the fine summer weather it was light about 5am and we woke early. I don't think it would be cosy in the winter. It was fine for a short break but a bit cramped for longer or in bad weather. We enjoyed sunshine and our boys loved the games room and having a BBQ. It was convenient for visiting local tourist attractions and less than an hour from the coast."
