"We had a fantastic week staying at this lovely house and it was perfect for our needs. It has 6 good sized rooms for 12 adults, with everyone commenting on how comfortable the bed matresses are. Note that the 2 large rooms upstairs have limited space in the ensuite due to height restrictions. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything we needed present. The house is also very nicely furnished with lots of lovely little touches everywhere. The welcome basket was welcomed with an initial supply of bread, milk, etc and red and white wine. The house was nice and warm despite being winter and very cold outside during February. The Queens Head pub down the road is just 5 mins walk away, serving excellent food and drink. Be sure to book though as it gets busy everyday.Overall, we were extremely pleased with the cottage. Not only is it ideal for a large party but is an excellent base for exploring the area. We would definately recommended it and hope to be back another year."

"It was a super well equipped and cozy cottage that is lovely and quiet, the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The pub over the bridge and across the road served wonderful food and, I thought, good value. The views across the fields up to the castle were magnificent. Although it would be handy to be able to walk to the shops I loved that there was nothing close by, except the pub! The torch to get there was very helpful. If you want somewhere to stay in beautiful surroundings, quiet but within 30 minutes of castles and 5 of a beach then this is the place to be."

"The apartment overlook a channel to the river. This meant we could see the tide coming and going and watch the bird activity. The occasional boat coming up the channel also made for interest. There are no other properties overlooking the apartment so it all felt very private. The walking in the area was wonderful - and so too are the places for tea where we could put back on any weight we lost by walking! The owner was extremely welcoming and made contact before we arrived and was very helpful. Definitely a place to return to and one we would recommend."

"We stayed here for my grandsons birthday,my 65th birthday and Mothers Day,four generations. The Old vicarage exceeded our expectations,it was spacious, clean, comfortable ,with a dream kitchen, that was well equipped. The bedrooms were mostly en suite and we all found the one which suited our needs. The location meant that some could commute,or come and go as needed ,less than a two hour drive.I really couldn't fault it,from the open fire, games room, utility and pantry plus lovely grounds and parking."

"Cordwainers was a lovely house set on the edge of the hill looking towards Rye, so the views were wonderful. We enjoyed dinner at the New Inn - they couldn't do enough to make us welcome, and the food was excellent. St Thomas' church was also worth a visit as the stained glass windows are beautiful, and we paid our respects to Spike Milligan whose grave is in the churchyard. Only a 20 minute drive to Hastings where there is a Morrison's supermarket and an Aldi. We would certainly recommend ..."
