"Location is superb - remote with excellent walking onto the Brecons from the door. The Wi-fi connection is excellent. The property had the following negatives - 1) Underfloor heating meant there were no radiators and hence no way to dry wet clothing/boots. This wasn't too much of a problem for the week of my visit due to good weather and temperatures of 16 - 20c but in cold, wet weather would present a problem for serious walkers. From day to day you would be forced to wear partially dry/damp boots and clothing. Drying wet towels would take a couple of days.2) Very poorly equipped considering it is advertised as a luxury property.....only one (small) saucepan and one medium sized frying pan made any cooking difficult. There was a double settee but no other comfortable seating meaning two people have no choice but to sit close to one another for the whole week. An additional comfortable armchair is required along with a foot stool and side tables.During my stay there was a need to carry out some minor DIY which required both a torch and a screwdriver - neither were provided but luckily I had brought both with me. Many people would not think to do so and would have been seriously inconvenienced. 3) The property is advertised as dog friendly but having a non-enclosed garden area with sheep freely roaming right outside and up to the door is not desirable. It should be made clear in the property description that dogs cannot be let off the lead at any time and that the outside area is not enclosed. I for one would not have booked if I'd known this in advance. Every time you need to let the dogs out you need to put them on the lead, be fully dressed and walk them round the back of the property which is pitch black - again, if you haven't got a torch you'll struggle. Emphasis on clearing dog mess and depositing it in the required bin is all well and good but when the whole area is already covered in sheep droppings it loses it's impact. 4) A stud wall separates the property from one of the adjoining rentals and the sound insulation is poor. If you are looking for peace and quiet to read/sleep it is difficult when your neighbours are playing music/TV at any sort of volume."

"What a beautiful idyllic place to stay! Yes it has no WiFi but this was perfect to switch off from our busy lives & have quality family time! It was so peaceful! Andy and Elena were so kind & welcoming. Our girls aged 12 & 8 loved exploring & had endless fun on the swing and feeding the animals. The barn is gorgeous - clean, cosy and has everything you need. We even had a BBQ. Extra thanks for the delicious bacon & eggs! We took lots of food for the week with us, although couldn't resist The Black Lion in Abergorlech- literally the best Sunday lunch! We visited so many places & the travel was no trouble. National Botanical Gardens, Mwnt Beach (swam with seals!), New Quay (Lime Crab best fish & chips), Aberporth (Coasteering), Llandysul Canoe Club (Kayaking), Dolaucothi Gold Mines (perfect for a rainy day). We actually ran out of time & didn't get chance to go biking at Brecfa, Aberglasney Gardens, exploring Cennen Castle, Dinefwr Park & horse riding! We will be back!!!"

"Everything you need is provided other than a broom/mop/vacuum cleaner, although if we asked I'm sure it would have been made available. We could have done with extra pillows for the bed but again we could have asked for more. There is an oven, stove, washing machine, dishwasher, and tv, so everything is covered. The nearest supermarket to get supplies is about 20+ mins away but you'll pass one to get to the cottage. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful hills and is central to most of the areas attractions. You can walk out of the cottage straight on to a footpath if you want to. There are trails, castles and beautiful scenery all around. The cottage was perfectly clean and all cleaning products are provided (other than vacuum/broom as mentioned). It was definitely good value for money and highly recommended."

"Very cosy cottage equipped with everything you need. We spent 4 days in the cottage and enjoyed the stay very much and would definitely return. We had a toddler and a baby with us plus two dogs and they all loved it.The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. The mattres and the bedding was very comfortable. We were looking for a remote quiet place and it ticked all the boxes with lots of nice walks and views nearby. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. We missed only two things the heated towel rail in the bathroom would be great as well as the fire place.Highly recommend."
