"First of all the cottage is nice and its in a good location. It has a good size garden so there is lots of room outside. The downsides were that things were beginning to look a little tired and dated and in need of repair - not too much, but it definitely needs looking at sooner rather than later. The biggest dissappointment was the level of equipement and useful consumables that were there. There was absolutely nothing left for us, no tea/coffee/milk, no welcome pack of any sort, no washing supplies like washing up liquid, clothes, no dishwasher tablets, no bin liners, virtually no toilet paper. There were a lot of kitchen equipement also missing like scales, graters, tupperwear - so if you are looking to stay here please remember to take EVERYTHING with you. Considering the price and other similar places we have stayed all of the above were provided often along with a welcoming cream tea! I think the owners need to look at the above to really make this into an OK cottage to a really good one!"

"The location of this house is amazing. You can access the coast path within minutes and it's about a 40 minute family walk into Brixham. From here you can continue along the coast path to Torquay, or pick up a ferry to several coast towns. There is a static caravan park near by which has a shop and a bar - which is handy. The house was clean and tidy with plenty of seating and a well fitted kitchen. The garden was well maintained and great for children (although the pictures on the website are out of date and the area by the trees is no longer accessible). The downside is that the showers are all in bedrooms and the plumbing is rather dated. The upstairs floorboards could also do with some TLC as they are very noisy. The only things missing in this accommodation are Wifi and a BBQ - despite this we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to families of all ages (although you might have difficulties with teenagers and lack of Wifi!)"

"Unfortunately, major water main works were taking place that we had not been made aware of prior to our stay. These works according to a local water company letter found in the property are to upgrade the water main to the nearby small school. Two days we were subject to heavy machinery noises working from 7am until 6pm. Not a nice and quiet location as expected. The area directly outside the property was quite a mess from the excavations for the new pipe.Spoilt the holiday really as we were expecting peace and quiet out in a tiny hamlet in the countryside. The property itself was very good however, we enjoyed the games room during the evenings when all was quite again. If we had been made aware of the works going ahead, at least we could have made a decision to visit or not. In this case, probably not."

"This is our second visit to S22961 the last was during the summer 2014 this previous visit was just prior to Easter 2015 again we touched lucky with the weather. As in the previous visit we found everything to our liking and the peace and the quiet where fantastic. the cottage is in a tranquil area of Glen Lethnot and is within easy reach of not only the lochs but also the beach and the Cairngorns. Alison and Robert are very welcoming and (if needed) are at the end of a phone. We left our holiday on the Saturday with heavy hearts as we did not want to leave the dogs have not stopped sulking since we left. All in all another fantastic holiday and we would recommend the cottage to anyone especially if your looking for the peace and quiet and just want to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy town or city."
