What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Monmouthshire To Rent.
- Mrs Dudley, April 2016 - verified booking
"What a beautiful, romantic cottage in a lovely little village. The pub advertised is currently closed, however there is another local friendly pub within a 2 minute walk. The butchers offers high quality meat if you want to cook in the cottage. The village fish bar is a must to visit and is a 2 minute walk from the cottage. If you want food Crickhowell is a local town, accessible easily by car with numerous pubs, shops, pharmacy and a social club. Also Abergavenny has lots of high street shops, a Wetherspoons and many places to eat. Dominios pizza, Abergavenny also delivers to this property if you want a quiet night in without needing to cook. Would definitely return. Our dog loved long walks by the canal and the local area. Thank you for a perfect break."
- Mrs Wright, November 2018 - verified booking
"A delightful cottage very cosy and warm and is much bigger inside than appears in the picture. The cottage is very well equipped and very well situated for Monmouth, Chepstow and surrounding areas such as The Forest Of Dean and Tintern Abbey. Jean is a lovely lady on hand if needed and we were very comfortable in the cottage. The local pub The Lion is at the top of the village a short walk from the cottage, the food is delicious and freshly cooked to order. The little local shop is just around the corner from the pub and sells lovely fresh bacon, sausages and a selection of provisions and newspapers . We liked the village very much very friendly and has a lovely church. We would stay here again"

"Firstly you are met with a warm smile from both John & Jean, you go on to find that they have provided you with a few essentials, bread, butter ,milk, tea and coffee. You then start to explore the cottage and find that you have book a clean, comfortable and well maintained property that suits all your needs, so you can immediately start to relax and enjoy your break. A trip to the local pub, and you are made to feel welcomed by all on both sides of the bar! So, what are the down sides, simply there are none! We travelled all around South Wales, and I cannot think of a better lace to do it from. We had a fantastic break, and we hope that you will too staying at S57371"
- Mr Hindmarsh, September 2016 - verified booking
"Fantastic cottage lovely location. Extremely well presented cottage finished to a high standard. The woods at the bottom of the garden have lots of little surprises. Welcome pack on arrival made all the difference. Owner popped in to see how we were doing which was a lovely touch. Excellent holiday fantastic location. Only thing I'd have liked would have been some WiFi as being in the middle of the nowhere there was no phone signal. This made planning trips etc that little bit tricky. The village of tintern was fantastic and is only 3 miles away. Lovely cafes and walksee for the dogs. Highly recommended cottage and would defiantly revisit in the future."
- Ms Yendall, March 2018 - verified booking
"The cottage was well presented and very well equipped. The owners John and Jean had left fresh milk, bread, eggs and welsh cakes for us which was really appreciated. The area is very rural and tranquil. Chepstow, Monmouth and Abergavenny are all about 15 minutes away and Cardiff is around 50 minutes away. A true gem just across the border. However as stated in the details this cottage is directly next to a quite busy road and there is noise, it did not spoil our holiday at all but it is worth mentioning. We will definitely be returning to S57371 for a well earned break very soon."
