"It's a lovely property, it suited our party for our annual get together, the hot tub is a nice addition but if windy makes it very cold to stay in as hot tub exposed at front of propety to give you the fabulous views of the country side and cows. And sometime the tractors working in the fields.Property owner was very friendly and very helpful. If any disabled in party be aware no toilet on ground level only by bedrooms on second floor.Very cosy snug with plenty of wood in shed , was very welcomed in evening to watch telly and play card games.Kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed for all our cooking needs, and we made lovely meals. As only 9 of us we fitted lovely around dinning table as we eat and watched the wildlife and cats outside (There about 20 cats living around and in farm house next door that come and see if you will feed them but don't attempt to come indoors even if doors open). We missed the sign to the lane to get to the Barn, directions are very accurate on Sat nav. Muddy lanes but once parked up we didn't move all weekend so wasn't a problem. Overall we would come back but only in summer to experience the Barn at it's best. Thank you for having us."

"We booked S21606 as it quoted the cottage was all on one level. Having a disabled and partially blind wife - this info was important to us. The cottage was in fact on several different levels. There is a huge step from the uneven uphill road to actually get into the cottage then more little steps inside which leads to different rooms. Not being able to see and not too good on her feet my wife did trip trying to get over these. There were covers covering the furniture. One was covered with bits and dog hair. Their was no heating on and the thermostat didn't work. We found out that it was because it was controlled by the owner and we had to ask him if he could put it on because being a rainy and cold may day it was freezing in the cottage. Our 6 year old soon got a chill and was unwell for most of our stay. The paths around the cottage and leading down to the farm are covered in potholes and very uneven. Not at all suitable for disabled people. My daughter did enjoy the pool and horse riding which cost £17.50 for half an hour. It could be a smashing little place if it was done up a little."

"Fantastic cottage lovely location. Extremely well presented cottage finished to a high standard. The woods at the bottom of the garden have lots of little surprises. Welcome pack on arrival made all the difference. Owner popped in to see how we were doing which was a lovely touch. Excellent holiday fantastic location. Only thing I'd have liked would have been some WiFi as being in the middle of the nowhere there was no phone signal. This made planning trips etc that little bit tricky. The village of tintern was fantastic and is only 3 miles away. Lovely cafes and walksee for the dogs. Highly recommended cottage and would defiantly revisit in the future."

"This place is a wonderfully placed hidden gem and we can't wait to go back. If you're looking for peace and tranquillity then this id the place to go, the friendly atmosphere is a bonus. The hosts were lovely, down to earth and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Collecting your own fresh eggs for breakfast was delightful, the eggs were so fresh and yummy. I made friends with plenty of farm animals too which was an awesome experience. We hope to go back soon."

"A very relaxed family break with our 2 sons (17 and 20) and dog. The games room at the property provides a nice option if raining or to break up the walking/culture for the younger participants!<br /> Recommendations: Caldicot Castle, Offa's Dyke walk (Devils Pulpit route and also other way from Tintern Old Station), Tintern, Usk. Tredegar Arms in Shirenewton - great pub/restaurant, we had two lovely meals there including lunch on Sunday."
