What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Mole Valley To Rent.

"The cottage itself is clean and tidy and it is down the end of a country lane HOWEVER what the advert and pictures do not show/tell you is that the owners house is literally right next door so you are overlooked by the owners. We felt slightly uncomfortable, had to keep side window blinds shut as these overlooked the owners property. The owners front gate is 5 yards from our back gate. They are a large family and there were A LOT of comings and goings. At one time 6 cars were parked up out the front all belonging to the owners family. The front and side of the cottage drive/walk way is made of gravel so as you can imagine you can hear every car come and go and every person walking to and fro their car to the owners property. The owners and their family have dogs which were all lovely but regularly at our front door or back gate as allowed to roam free. My 3 dogs are all dog friendly but being introduced to strange dogs at your gate and door is not how we like our dogs to be introduced. As most dogs do ours bark when someone comes near the house as and there were a lot of visitors to the owners property our dogs were rarely relaxed which meant in turn neither were we. Again this made us feel uncomfortable and we felt we had to be quiet and keep the dogs inside so as not to annoy the owners if they barked. For a holiday rental this cottage had no welcome pack with regards to where the nearest supermarket was or where the bridal paths / public walkways were. We had to just take our chances as to where we could exercise our dogs, again not relaxing when you do not know where you are allowed to go and where not to. I think the advert for this property was very misleading making out to be in a quiet secluded situation which is far from where it is unfortunately."

"Lovely barn conversion, done to a really high standard with a beatiful view.Descritption is a bit misleading - it appears that you are in the middle of nowhere and going to have a quiet private break. However the barn is split into two properties and there is no privacy in the garden from the neighbours at all. It is also right on top of the owner's house.Beware that although Wi-Fi is advertised when you get there it is made clear that there is a limitation to use of the internet. The owners will charge you for 'unreasonsable' usage - but what that means is totally subjective. The pictures show a sauna but there is a charge for this too.We did feel as though we were being watched by the owners. About an hour after my husband and I turned up the owners knocked on the door to ask if we had read the terms and conditions and to make it clear we wern't allowed parties. We were judged for our young age (mid-late 20's) and my husband had to point out that I was 6 months pregnant and didn't plan on anything more strenuous than monopoly.Overall a nice property - just not the idyllic private getaway we were expecting."

"The best thing about this cottage is its location. Quiet and secluded with easy access to lots to open countryside. If you have a dog to walk this is the place to come. Very pleasantly surprised by the Surrey Hills, beautiful and much more rural than we anticipated. Very comfortable beds and high quality linen. Other areas all furnished to a good standard. Has useable Wi-Fi speed wise but capacity is limited (need to check if it said that in the booking details) which restricts some of the applications - but its in such a great location that you should be out most of the time anyway!! Miles from anything if you decide that you want some extra shopping so plan ahead. A bit expensive compared with others we have stayed at, perhaps that's the south of England for you? Features electric storage heaters so all the usual controllability issues that come with them."

"We booked this as a last min booking after being let down by a local Air BnB so we got it cheaper than the standard rate if Id paid the standard rate I would have been disappointed but for the price we paid it was a good base for our holiday. We spent a fair amount of time out and about everything seems to be about half an hour away so you really do need a car plus the cottage is far down a private road. There were other cars near the house but we were not bothered by any noise or even seeing any other people just there cars the point of contact Donna was very good she gave me all the info i needed and i contacted her about somthing she was quick to respond. I feel that the place needs some tlc in the decoration area but the beds are comfortable the kitchen well stocked with equipment and the sofas were big and comfey"

"Lovely location with lots of walks from the doorstep. Very helpful and friendly owners. Unfortunately the cottage is quite tired. Many of the doors are poorly fitting. Light bulbs blown with no replacements. Few plug sockets to plug chargers etc. Extra side table lamp in the lounge would have been useful but no socket to plug it into. Front bedroom bed could do with a proper mattress as it was very uncomfortable. Occasional dining table in the kitchen could realistically only sit 2 people without it having to be moved into the lounge. Couldn't find any instructions on the electrical appliances which became hit and miss on how the hob/TV/DVD operated. Don't get me wrong this is a nice place to stay but with a small amount of money spent and a bit of TLC could be a "great" place to stay."
