What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Mere To Rent.

"An excellent cottage that is exceptionally well equipped, with a modern yet sympathetic decor, decorated to a high standard. Everything seems to have been thought of, especially in terms of the 'mod cons', such as a bluetooth speaker, that are often lacking in cottages. The bedrooms are surprisingly spacious, each with a double bed of various sizes, and decorated in their own style. Our only obvious gripe was that it wasn't an especially warm cottage, even with the heating turned up. When we visited in February we often struggled to stay warm when sat on the sofa. The wood fire is a nice touch and certainly helps, but cannot be relied upon especially if, like us, you're not very good at making a fire. Likewise, the parking could be an issue for some as there is none available outside the cottage. The nearest is the allotment parking approximately 100 yards up the lane. It's not far to walk by any means, and there's access to it from either the rear or front of the cottage, but some may struggle when laden down with belongings/suitcases/children at the start/end of the trip. That said, it really wasn't an issue for us, merely a minor inconvenience. Both of us and our dog enjoyed our stay, and we would definitely visit again."

"This is one of the best equipped properties we have ever stayed in. There was far more crockery etc. than 2 people would ever need for the week, and the family have thought of everything likely to be needed when self-catering. It was like staying in someone's home. In spite of the freezing weather the cottage was always warm, with the electric heating being easily controlled. The family are very considerate and helpful and thoughtfully left us a bottle of wine and vase of daffodils for our arrival. Extra personal touches include DVDs, numerous books, board games, jigsaw puzzles etc. and lots of local information, as well as general tourist information. We seldom stay in the same area twice but may well consider returning here as it is so well situated for visiting several places of interest."

"A beautiful property. We immediately felt at home and were especially sad to leave the fantastic kitchen-diner, complete with a lovely, warming Aga and views to fields with resident alpacas! The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the cottage with their own bathrooms next door and are comfortable and furnished stylishly. There are no games or DVDS provided which wasn't a problem for us but may be of use for future occupants - in fact it really felt like you were staying in someone's home rather than a holiday property. The cottage has lovely furniture and is light and airy but is still cosy and inviting. We've stayed in many cottages and this is definitely one of the best."

"we had a good time and felt the cottage was well equipped and clean. It had loads of helpful literature for the area .2 commentsfirstly , the directions are in correct for getting to the cottage! The restaurant mentioned is no longer there and is a private house ,which made locating the unsigned left hand turn difficult.Secondly, several people had mentioned fencing as dogs are welcomed. It could be easily resolved with wire netting around the field fencing already present. It would have made for a slightly more relaxing holiday knowing the dog couldn't sneak into the field!!Apart from that ..Great!"

"Excellent in all respects EXCEPT Wi fi and lack of line for mobile. Could not get a WiFi connection even though instructions followed carefully. Felt very cut off with no phone and no WiFi. I realise it is not a good area but there is equipment available which boosts the Wi Fi. My son lives a few miles away and had a similar problem which was rectified by a booster in the house. The towel rails were never hot and usually cold which was a bit annoying.Other than that we had absolutely no complaints at all.Would suggests something is done about itI have booked again in October"
