"Arrived to find cottage had been flooded and water had gathered in the corner of the lounge. We were offered no compensation and were then constantly hassled by the property manager whose sole concern was to ready the property for the next week’s guests. This despite having explained that we had 2 anxious and nervous dogs, who had to be shut in the kitchen with one of us to calm them each time anyone came to the property. The threat of flood had abated following the clearing of the stream by the council. We’d agreed to dry the lounge carpet by drying and replacing towels and mats, keeping the central heating on and opening windows. This worked and the carpet was drying nicely, although there was a damp smell. In spite of this she insisted on entry on 3 occasions without notice, on the third occasion we’d vacated the property for over 2 hours to allow a carpet fitter to enter as agreed between 1-3pm .. only for him to appear at 3:40 after we’d returned. We were obliged to be in contact with Wyndham Vacation Rentals Customer Service, the property manager and the cottage owner throughout our holiday. In the end it was impossible to relax and we decided to cut our holiday short and leave a day early. A holiday is about more than bricks and mortar, it should be a chance to relax, recharge batteries and escape day to day stresses. Our stay at Caerdeon was anything but."

"This is a lovely cottage on a working sheep farm, the views from within are far reaching and beautiful and the location is perfectly situated for the surrounding area. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything needed to make yourselves at home. The downstairs bedroom was lovely and cool for sleeping in the heatwave we had when there and there were plenty of nearby areas for us to walk the dog first thing in the mornings, including the river. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. There was a pint of milk in the fridge on our arrival together with tea and a pack of Welsh Shortbread, perfect for a nice cup of tea after the long journey there.A delightful and peaceful place to stay, a little piece of heaven! My only advice would be to take provisions with you for the first couple of days as there is not much choice for food shopping nearby."

"Sofa was uncomfortable. Very little natural light in the property: it was gloomy and airless. It was however super clean, very tastefully done out and located in very pretty idyllic surroundings, but it was not somewhere I felt l wanted to spend any time in. Happily the weather was great so I could get out and about and didn't need to spend time at the property, except overnight. The owners provided a welcome pack including home made shortbread and a loaf of bread which was very nice. I think the property details should specify that the owners who live on site have a large and very friendly dog- in case you are a visitor who isn't keen on dogs and doesn't want to find one inside your cottage if you leave the door open. There was also a humidifier running in the sitting room- which could be switched off- but not ideal."

"Fantastic cottage in a brilliant location, with high views looking out across the harbor and bay. There are narrow lanes leading to the cottage, so travel with care, but if you are after a peaceful and tranquil location, then look no further. Aside from a footpath running parallel to the cottage (we saw the odd person using it), there is no one else around to bother you. The town is a 15 minute walk downhill, where there is a small local shop and several eateries (we can recommend The Dovey Inn). The beach is large with ample parking. We were there just outside of the Welsh Easter holidays so it was fairly quiet, I suspect in full holiday season it would be very busy. The cottage is expensive for what it is, but relaxing in the hotub on an evening staring out over the coastline - well, it was worth every penny!"

"Sadly this cottage was let down for a number of reasons, general cleanliness lacking, extremely dusty everywhere, dirty sheet in wardrobe. Shower fell off wall at first attempt, no cleaning materials except washing up tablets, no welcome pack not even a tea bag, bathroom downstairs unable to use due to pungent smell, no fans anywhere as it’s a holiday cottage one would think there would be at least one we had to go to Tesco’s and buy a couple and then back again to buy a screwdriver , garden needed weeding and garden furniture tatty and old on the whole. Overall this could be a love,y cottage but requires attention to detail and tlc, we left a day early, we text ‘Angela’ to let her know she didn’t have the courtesy to reply back Location amazing and we will be going back but we will not be staying here ."
