"Chosen because my wife would like to live in a barn, S5199 exceeded our expecations by a long way. Imaginatively converted and beautifully furnished the accommodation is well above par. The owners made sure that we were comforatable and offered help should we need it. I must mention the single track road that is access from the a481. Not for the faint hearted. Nor is the final track into the property that needs to be driven with care. That said, the effort is well worthwhile to enjoy a beautiful location. Sadly we visited before summer arrived in 2013 and we had more than our share of rainfall. However that did not stop us getting out and about and we even enjoyed a walk alongside the river Wye on Sunday afternoon in the rain! Every day it was a pleasure to return to the warmth and comfort of S5199. Had we have been much younger and fitter we would have enjoyed the hill walking opportunities surrounding S5199. All in all a good time was had by all. Next visit we hope to find the sunshine! Very happy to add our recommendation."

"S21379 was the most tranquil and peaceful environment we have ever had the pleasure to visit. Our visit was cut short by a family problem, however the owners were more than supportive in allowing our family to make full use of the cottage on the following day despite the 10:00 am deadline. They are by far the most owner friendly hosts that any one could wish to meet. The property is set in a idyllic environment surrounded by enchanted hills and meandering streams occupied only by sheep, but always encouraging the visitor to explore and enjoy. Our dog "Ollie" was also encouraged to socialise with the working dogs on the farm.S21379 was well presented and sympathetically, aesthetically designed to provide the connection to the environment that it supports and enjoys.I would strongly recommend S21379 to any one looking to visit the most welcoming and environmentally pleasing venue in Wales."

"We had a great time at S5199 over the weekend. It was a little difficult to find as it's tucked away in the hills but I loved the secluded and beautiful location. S5199 was stunning, with a great open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room which led out on the patio overlooking the hills (and some sheep!) where we spent most of our time drinking and BBQ-ing. It was very peaceful and quiet, a real get away from the city. The bedrooms were spacious with 3 doubles and a bunk bed. There was a lot of land to explore and a tree house hidden in the woods was a real bonus and would be great for kids. There are lots of things to do around and we travelled to the Brecon Beacons (about 1.2 hours) for some gorge walking and clay pigeon shooting. Would recommend without hesitation for a lovely chilled out break - just wish we could have stayed longer!"

"I booked the Old Court House as a last minute break for the family, and on arrival we were not dissapointed. The old cells are still in place which the kids found facinating. I advise anyone who is thinking about booking this accommodation to do it, dont mess around, you will not regret it. We ordered our groceries from Tesco and they arrived at the time slot we booked, this saved us loadibg the car with food. Rhayader has many fine eating places and there is a pub opposite which can be loud on a Saturday but all quiet from 12.30am. Aberystwyth is a good 1 hour drive with Cardiff being reached in around 2 hours. We did not park the car as suggested by the owner as the street was not very well lit, we used the street directly opposite without any problem or issue. Book and Enjoy."

"What a beautiful area, barn, taste in decor, and such a homely and comfortable place to retreat to! The lovely hosts (Angela and Peter) were so welcoming, helpful, interesting and friendly, without invading our privacy etc, they were around if you wanted to talk to them etc but not if you wanted to just get away from everyone! Would highly recommend ' S5199,' it's so peaceful, and pretty, you couldn't fail to relax there. If you like to read too, there are plenty of good reads, I wanted to lock myself in there until i'd read them all! With such a 'busy' husband though who bores easily, four days were plenty for him, I on the other hand wanted to move there!"
