"All the family enjoyed a wonderful Christmas break at Arosfa Emlyn. The house was beautifully decorated and there was a large Christmas tree in the main family room which was lovely. We were a party of 10 adults and most of the bedrooms are very specious with en suite facilities. As the parents of the group, we found the separate lounge adjoining our bedroom on the ground floor to be ideal for a little peace and quiet now and again. However, if adult couples are sharing this accommodation, it is not mentioned in the description that Bedroom 5 is accessed through Bedroom 4 and occupants of both rooms share one bathroom facility. This arrangement for Bed 4 and 5 would be ideal for a family though. The indoor hot tub was used a lot and was wonderful after walking through the hills in the chilly wind and rain. The Games Room has a football table and some board games but it was disappointing that there was a dartboard and no darts! We tried several shops whilst we were out and about but were not able to purchase any. The main lounge is however too small and cannot accommodate 10 seated to watch a film together. The kitchen units are "tired" and equipment is minimal and very basic. I was so glad I had taken equipment from home in order to cater for Christmas dinner for 10 adults."

"Sunfold certainly has the ‘wow’ factor. Light, sunny with superb views. From the photos it is unable to see just how much space there is to enjoy. We were a family of 6 adults (parents and grandparents) and 5 children ranging from the ages of 3 to 10. Adults and children had so many areas to use, escape in peace or just chill round the kitchen/dining area, while cooking evening meals. Such a socialable house with comfortable seating in all 3 living areas. The bifolding doors leading onto the huge decking area were another bonus adding even more dimension to the living space. The bedrooms were just perfect for our party, including a couple of options when a child couldn’t settle!! A TV with a luxurious bath was a hit with us all and another place to grab some peace from our excited youngsters! Weather was a little changeable but warm and sunny on several beach days. Lots of places and beaches to explore within easy driving distance. Best house we have stayed in and would recommend highly for a larger group. A small family might easily be overwhelmed but probably love it just the same! Didn’t want to go home and so much looked forward to returning to the house after our days out. Book it!"

"There was plenty of room for all of us and it was generally clean, although there wasn't enough kitchen cleaner for cleaning the surfaces. There was plenty of space. We were asked to put the compostable waste in the green bin - which wasn't there. As we were leaving we saw that it was on the verge - obviously it had been put out for the recyclers but we hadn't seen it before. We did as we asked re: all the other rubbish - they had bins for general and glass etc. I left notes if there was something amiss - for example, one of the bulbs had gone in the room we were in. I don't suppose they know these things unless someone tells them. They were niggles really, although we would have liked a bbq - didn't appear to be gas so we didn't bother. The worst think was the fire alarm going off in the early hours each morning. It seemed to be triggered by someone else's bonfire - a very delicate fire alarm. However, it's a beautiful part of the world and for a large family gathering it was ideal."

"We had an amazing holiday here. The cottage itself had everything we needed, plus lots of extra touches that made it feel like home! Kay & Mike we’re wonderful hosts, helping us to plan our days out & providing suggestions. Nothing was too much trouble! The welcome tray of milk, bread & Welsh cakes & butter was a great treat! The setting of the cottage has heavenly! The resident chicken & cats were a hit with our little girl. The woodland is just lovely, so relaxing! There are no shops/pubs within walking distance but just a short drive away & tbe only surprise to us was that more local pubs didn’t cook mid week! However the cottage is so well setup that cooking in the evenings was a delight! Local beaches (especially Poppit sands) are just heavenly! But Kay & Mike are always happy to provide suggestions if needed. We were all very sad to leave and return to the real world! I can’t recommend this beautiful little place enough."

"This was our second visit & our last.We paid £700 yet decided to leave early losing money !!Welcome pack consisted of one stale cake, 1 pint of milk. They left one toilet roll ..First thing we had to do is go shopping for toilet rolls, fairy liquid .. fly spray !!!We expected flies being on a working farm but they moved two donkeys from the pack into a field so close to the cottage that the braying of the donkeys woke us at first light and the flies from the manure was huttendous !! No exaggeration!!Also they allowed a large vehicle towing a caravan with two large dogs aboard to camp right under our main bedroom window ..could hear every sound from them..Also they need to sack their cleaner ..the only good things were the cobwebs that caught the flies ..Windows & corners filled with cobwebs !!So NO ... we will not be returning and lost £100 just to come home early !!!"
