"We loved The Shippen and had a totally relaxing week there. There was not much to do in the village but the walks were lovely and we spent most of our time chilling out and enjoying some R&R. The shop was expensive, so it was best to get main groceries in Kingsbridge or online. The local pub was nice and did good basic pub grub. The staff and customers were friendly towards us.The house is very comfortable and more spacious than it looks on the website. The west facing garden is dog proof, although they could get out of the east garden if they wanted to, so we did not leave them in that one unattended. The village itself is dog friendly and there are lots of walks where you can let your dog off the lead.If I had a criticism it is that the bedrooms were a bit damp when we arrived. However, we opened the windows and doors and they aired out nicely. We loved The Shippen and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you."

"Maes Y Wawr is a lovely large property in a great location with excellent views. We were a group of 10 (4 adults, 6 children) and it was the perfect size for us with plenty of space for the children to play in. The games rooms is an excellent room (although it could do with a bit more lighting) and was well used during our stay there. Our only issues were the lack of a few things in the house, namely dishwasher tablets, more than one kitchen towel, spare toilet rolls, handwash in the bathrooms and kitchen. The buttons on the thermostat also only seemed to work if you took the battery out and put it back in again. Overall though, the house was perfect for us and we would recommend it and would consider returning again in the future."

"Not a very good review I could write unfortunately! We have found a dead mouse in the kitchen and we were terrified and we had to clean all the cutlery, pots and pans!! Very poor cleanliness in the bed rooms! Some of the radiators were not working and game room was ice cold! No TV was working two nights out of 4 we stayed!! Annoyed kids 🙁May be not a good choice during winter but during summer this place will be great (we presume but we wouldn't go there again!!). We have chosen this place to stay over Xmas but we were disappointed!! Large house and good size for few families to share! Trying hard to write something positive!"

"We've lost track of how many times we've stopped in Ty Melyn, certainly over 10 years. It's always so warm, clean and has everything you could need. The weather has not been a complete wash out but not exactly what you'd expect in August. A couple of wetsuits from Tesco saved the day and the boys have enjoyed the sea most days. We have caught a few fish, crabs and other sea life in the rock pools on the beach and a tiny fish in the stream at St David's. Enjoyed seeing the penguins at Folly Farm and had our usual trips for fish and chips to Somethings Cooking at Letterston."

"We loved the cottage and its location. It was spacious and comfortable with a lovely garden back and front of it. We had everything we needed in the cottage - although we did bring our own towels as they charge for these. There were some cobwebs but over all the place was very clean and neat. Downside is they expect you to clear the place and remove the bed sheets before you leave - something you don't really want to do on holiday! We would definitely stay there again if we visited the area."
