"We had a fantastic week at the cottage. Andrew and Karen were very welcoming. They answered any questions we had. Nothing was too Much trouble. The cottage was cosy and snug. Our dogs were ok but two medium/ large dogs may struggle for space toLie down as the kitchen/ lounge area is compact. The cottage is in a peaceful location.surrounded by lovely countryside. Our dogs loved watching the horses and sheep in the fields. The welcoming gifts of wine, cake and milk were a lovely touch. It would be worth taking a few basic food provisions with you until you get to the shops as the cottage is quite rural. The nearest town is about 5-6 miles away and has all You will need. The furnishings/bedding etc were comfortable and fresh. The cottage was lovely and clean. There are some great walks and castles to visit not too far away by car."

"Mairwen and Dewi saved the day for my sister and I when we needed somewhere to stay at very short notice. They couldn’t have been more welcoming at a time when we needed it the most! The cottage is warm, cosy, comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Dewi ensured that the aga was attended to every day so that we were warm and toasty and the oil heater in the lounge is a very welcome addition. Nothing was too much trouble for Mairwen and Dewi. We even had the use of a very large field to walk my sister’s collie. The location was ideal for us; close enough to both the beach and local parks and castles et cetera. The cottage has the most remarkable views all around lending a sense of solitude. The Old Barn is a lovely place to stay and has a genuine, friendly family. Thank you 😊"

"Very well presented cottage a little remote from it all but very peaceful, views are very nice to wake up in a morning to super views of the Talley lakes were lovely. There are plenty walks to choose from Talley valley has three different walks around the pine forests also with the remains of the Talley Abbey to walk around. S6280 Cottage is very central location to Carmarthen and many coastal resorts for days out. Gillian the Lady who is the owner supplied us with a lovely welcoming pack the facilities are very good everything you could ask for. WE felt like it was home from home really enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much!! Only down side for us there was not a local pub within walking distance, However this did not spoil our time spent here. Enjoyed this very much !!"

"We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home. We were looking for a ‘get away from it’ house to relax and we certainly found it here. Super views and such a fabulous book collection. We had three lovely sheep visit overnight, one even knocking on the door! A good selection of wild birds visited especially when we filled the feeders up. We played jingle bells on the lovely piano before bed each night (as that is all we could play 😀). The heating was spot on and although the wood burners were lovely we did not need to use them. A great use of space in the house and fabulous mix of old and new building."

"We had a brilliant week at S21675. The owner had made us very welcome and made sure we had a travel cot and high chair all set up for our toddler. The cottage was spacious and cosy and was in the perfect location. Very close to the A40 for travelling to different attractions and a few mins drive from pubs and small supermarkets. The track up to the cottage was long enough to not realise how close you are. Flossie and Roxy the dogs came for a cuddle every day (in the garden) and we were spoilt by the wonderful views. A beautiful cottage in a lovely area. We would definitely stay here again."
