"We have just come back from our stay at S44431 and we loved it. Yes, it's a bungalow, so you are not getting an old quaint cottage with beams and a huge fireplace. But don't let that put you off, because Tynddol is lovely. It is tastefully and comfortably furnished, light airy and with a pretty garden. The owner has really done it beautifully, and on all sides there are stunning views. The position is gorgeous. It is right away from the road, with beautiful walks just by stepping through your garden gate. It would be particularly attractive to people with a young family, because it is enclosed and safe. So you can relax with a glass of wine and let the kids enjoy the garden, and the amazing wildlife.....kites, rabbits, otters, squirrels, pheasants and herons. Also, it's not just suitable for families, we went as a couple, and loved the peace and tranquility and the having time together. A group of friends or two couples could also have a lovely time here You have a pub nearby, serving perfectly acceptable pub grub, and a village shop. Don't expect the local area to have towns and villages with cute shops and restaurants, delis or posh frock shops. Radnorshire is truly unspoiled, and that is its charm. There is however a lovely W. H. Smiths in Newtown (amazing for the shop itself which is an original bookshop,) and an Oriel art gallery serving really good cakes and snacks. Finally, don't forget your cossie....and don't knock it till you've tried it...... Tynddol has a hot tub, and I loved sitting there, glass in hand watching the red kites. So give this lovely holiday let, and this lovely unspoiled part of Wales a go. I think you'll be back."

"As a whole we all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away. However we didn’t appreciate a visit from the owner at 08:00 on the Saturday morning, she came and inspected the hot tub, then came and spoke to members of the group. The hot tub felt cold when we went in it so obviously we turned it up. Which was apparently not allowed. This ‘inspection’ put us off using the hot tub again! As a group we have stayed in Many cottages with hot tubs, and have Never seen any owners. It felt like we were being monitored and we didn’t appreciate it!Apart from that the house was stunning, immaculate and we loved the log cabin. We had a beautiful welcome hamper which was appreciated. Every peice of kitchen equipment you could think of was there! We very nearly got snowed in, and we were offered to stay there no problem."

"One toilet coming off wall, shower leaking through ceiling. Broken glass around the hot tub. Advertised as bbq and fire pit which was full of water and old logs, no bbq utensils. 5 bowls for 6 people and 1 chipped, 2 champagne glasses for 6 people. No basics like coffee maker/ cafietiere, Ice cream scoop, scissors, pint glasses etc. All pans had non stick coating half off. Wi-Fi was useless, couldn't even run apps on the tv (netflix etc). Bedroom TVs very small, the size of an iPad. No general waste bin, bags had to be left in the shed which had no door so torn open by wildlife overnight. No where for toiletries in either bathroom. Says no pets allowed however dog biscuits attracting flies in the kitchen and the Hoover smelled very strongly of dog. All in all not a 5* and would not recommend."

"Spent a lovely weekend here with friends. The accommodation is of a very high standard and good quality furnishings and appliances. They have thought of everything you could need. The house is huge and the cinema room is amazing. We arrived to find a lovely welcome package which included a bottle of prosecco, crisps, eggs, oatcakes and welsh cakes, bread, butter and milk and fresh flowers. The location is next to a farm so wake up to see the sheep each morning. There wasnt much to do around the local towns but we only went out for an hour or two so wasnt a huge problem. The hot tub was great and we had a great time making smores in the artic cabin. All in all i felt they really did go the extra mile to make our stay a pleasant one. Would definately recommend."

"This was a beautiful escape from everyday busy life... often we work too hard to appreciate our surroundings and take in nature.. a few days here puts you at peace... Very remote so if you want something busy it’s not for you, if you want to escape everyday life this is perfect for you! Wether with friends or family, just lovely.. i personally went with my partner and friends to celebrate a birthday, we had the best time cooking meals, playing games and chilling in the amazing hot tub. Also gentle walks to local pub for good food and drinks, just totally relaxing. The barn is a credit to the owners, i would love to know if they did the decor thereselves or got someone in because it’s so beautiful!!!"
