"Location was great for exploring the area but accommodation disappointing. Cottage accommodates 8 barely, only room 4/5 to seat in lounge, dining table 6 unless we sat in two completely separate rooms and as mentioned in numerous reviews previously, Children’s room uncomfortable. Bunk beds incredible noisey causing disturbed sleep whenever someone moved. Too sleep 4 in the room involved pull out bed leaving no floor space and only exceptable or tolerated, as our children were young. Generally the cottage is cosy but unfortunately in need of some TLC. Furniture broken or missing parts, utensils in kitchen needing replacing, cobwebs everywhere, not cleaned thoroughly ( grubby in corners, under sofa and beds etc) wet room slow to drain and smelly, as well as upstairs toilet extremely noisey due to system used but also smelling at times. Finally dog mess in garden when we arrived which wasn’t ideal when kids were exploring. A lot of little things that thankfully didn’t impact our holiday but need to be addressed for reviews to improve. Wouldn't Recommend until changes made."

"5 Star. DEFINITELY NOT.The access to this property is via a goat track that is in a disgusting condition long overdue for some major repairs. The kitchen pots and pans need urgent attention.Loose handles on pots no lids and fry pans in unhygienic condition.Long overdue for replacement. The shower was absolutely useless.More chance of a shower standing under a leaky tap.The fridge door could not be shut due to the large amount of ice built up around freezer compartment.Unsatisfactory housekeeping.Fortunately we only had to endure 1 night with guests above us The banging thumping and crashing was not welcome. The noise control was non existent.Had this occurred earlier in our stay we would not have stayed the duration of our booking. The continual barking of the dogs next door was also becoming unacceptable.Could not and would not recommend this property. We had 10 cottages on this stay to the UK and this was by far the worst."

"We stayed within the first week of February at S85763 Cottage and were welcomed by the lovely Cathy who ensured that the cottage was warm and welcoming. There was also a bottle of wine and a cream tea awaiting us! Cathy showed us around the cottage and left her contact number in case of any problems. [She also popped round the next day with some eggs laid by her chickens] The cottage itself is lovely and cosy. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you wanted. There is an enclosed garden at the front with a grassed area and decking. It was a little too cold to take advantage of, but I would imagine it would be lovely in the spring/summer. It is well located as it gives you access to a great many locations within a short driving distance. This cottage really is a hidden gem, and fantastic value for money. I would not hesitate in recommending S85763 to anyone."

"We found the cottage lovely to stay at, the owner is very friendly and helpful. There were six of us - two couples and 2 children. Of the two double bedrooms the master bedroom is very comfortable, the second double bedroom not so comfortable at all - the mattress is too soft so we ended up not using this bedroom! The twin and single bedrooms are both comfortable and all bedrooms are very clean. The kitchen could do with a few more utensils and more pots and pans. The location is excellent to see a lot of cornwall we managed to go to quite a few beaches, tintagel, becky falls and boscastle all within 40-50mins drive. The cottage is very clean and well maintained, spacious and has a lovely garden with a lovely dolls house for the kids.Overall we had a lovely stay and would come back to Cornwall! Thank you."

"The Cottage was very clean and comfy. The kitchen equipment was new and made cooking and eating at home easy and hassle free. The beds were all comfortable and had nice linen- added extra was having electric blankets already on the beds.(we stayed in February)When we arrived we had a problem with the electric meter the owners were very helpful, came straight round (on a Sunday afternoon) and the onsite technician solved the issue. Couldn't of asked for more! The indoor pool was well kept, warm and only minutes away from the cottage. Perfect size for a swim and play in! The changing rooms were a little chiliy (February half term) just meant you had to get changed quick! Long opening hours meant that we got good use of pool and were able to go either before or after a day out in beautiful Cornwall."
