Walking is one of the most popular activities and one of the most rewarding. Take on one of the many guided walks and be prepared to see some magnificent sites. If you prefer, why not take a horse on the many horse rides available and experience the countryside like they would have done 100 years ago. There are also opportunities to get involved in water sports from kayaking and canoeing to sailing and windsurfing, or simply enjoy a walk beside one of the areas many reservoirs and rivers. Travel back in time and enjoy a trip through the the Peak District on one of the old steam trains; this nostalgic voyage is sure to give you goose bumps.
