"We stayed in one of the Badger cabins. The cabin itself was great, really authentic looking and with wooden furniture inside it was exactly what we wanted. The four poster bed was comfy and so was the leather sofa (perfect for afternoon naps!). The bathroom was clean and the shower and toilet worked fine. The underfloor heating was incredible, coming in from the harsh cold into what felt like a sauna! We even had to turn it down a couple of times! The surrounding area was great, you could say it was in the middle of nowhere but we went on plenty of nice country walks without any distractions (Although we did end up driving to a few places/shops as they were out of walking distance). The hot tub was amazing, much more spacious than we thought, better than a lot of Spa hot tubs! As it is kept ‘on’ 24/7 you don’t need to wait for it to heat up, just plunge straight in! The jets work well and you can change the colour of the lights - its difficult to find the motivation to get out once you’re in! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need; we bought food from the nearest Asda and ate-in for 2 of 3 the nights we were there. The on-site staff were very friendly and helpful. There was only one minor thing that we noted. The phone signal is non-existent, we had no service or 4G throughout the stay so if you like to call people or use the internet it could be a problem (joining a wifi network was super expensive and not guaranteed to work apparently). This can be seen as a good or a bad thing I suppose. Our suggestion would be to have a direct phone line from the cabins to the reception, only to use for emergencies or for a quick question. Also the main tv could be a little bit bigger, but these are all we could think of in terms of nit picks! Everything else was just what we wanted when we booked it. We really enjoyed our weekend stay and would definitely recommend it to others who are looking for a quiet/ relaxing time away in the open air."

"We were in cabin number 33 (Badger 6) it was ok but the cabin needs a deep clean (lots of cobwebs especially on the outside near the hot tub area). It's a pity that the hot tub was a BIG let down as it had a leak on it where the water level sank below the half way line by end of the day making bathing in the evening an issue. Also the hot tub took ages for the temperature to rise especially after refilling in the mornings so you could not use it properly until the late afternoon. I also personally think that the heater in this hot tub is a bit worn out because the other hot tubs that we have used in the past on this park and other parks heat up very quickly and maintain the heat levels whilst in use where this one struggled to do so. We stayed in the cabin next door last year (Badger 6 number 34) which has the same size hot tub and had no leaks and heated up very quickly and stayed hot during use. Come on Quarry Park get this hot tub fixed properly so your guests can enjoy it without any issues, remember guests pay for a fully working hot tub not a faulty one. Also the dish washer was faulty as the programme button was not working so we had to wash all dishes by hand. I did inform reception of the above issues so hopefully they have made the necessary arrangements to fix everything."

"We had a lovely time. A few issues on arrival, we had a hot tub with a broken lid. It’s impossible to remove and replace alone, which meant sometimes I had to leave it open which meant it spent most of the time running at about 30-34 degrees which is annoying when your ready to get in at night when the kids are in bed but it hasn’t managed to warm back up yet. I mentioned it to the guy who settled us in and he said ring reception if we needed assistance. However there is no phone signal! At all.Underfloor heating was difficult. We couldn’t dry towels anywhere so ended up sharing most of the time as the room wasn’t warm enough to dry washing and the dryer was absolutely rubbish. The site was great for us, quiet, cut off from the world and a little park to entertain the kids. We walked around a few paths on the site with the kids and there were some nice walks. We visited Alton towers and went into uttoxter for a day. Close enough for a day out in many places. I would return but I would need a new hot tub lid. And the radiators on in bathrooms!"

"A lovely cottage with a well-kept garden in a nice area with plenty to do within about 40 mins drive, eg Trentham Gardens, Tissington Trail, Sudbury, Cannocks Chase. But a few minor niggles: 1. Only duvets available were too warm for the weather (an issue at most cottages we have stayed at) 2. Only one bath mat, so were constantly moving it between the bathroom and ensuite shower room. 3. Heated towel rails would be good (think they were probably the type that heat up with the heating but no good in summer) - we did manage to dry the towels off each day by putting up the airer in the downstairs toilet and rotating them twice a day, but not ideal!"

"Stayed here last summer and no idea why we forgot to leave feedback!! Perhaps it was because we came home feeling so relaxed! What a beautiful house. Extremely comfortable and spacious. Safely arranged for families with young children. Very modern utilities- everything you could possibly need has been thought of. Friendly pub is a 1 minute walk. Surrounding area is breathtaking (literally- if you’re a bit out of shape!) with great walking or cycling routes to follow. Although it gives a feeling of peace and solitude, it is also a good base for exploring this lovely area."
