"S77884 is a lovely, and very much unique house. It is something of a rabbit warren of rooms, and there is plenty of space. The setting is lovely - a large amount of garden space, with lots of trees. It rained during our stay so we didn't use it, but there was a very nice looking set of outdoor furniture on a patio. There is a lot of equipment in the kitchen, which is great for a holiday house - lots of plateware, glasses, pots and pans etc. The dining room is a fairly long way from the kitchen, but is a large space with a lovely long glass window, a nice spot to sit and eat in. There is a table in the kitchen that seats four. The porch (mud room) was very useful for keeping wet clothes and boots out of the house. This is a house that contains a lot of stuff, so is not a place to stay if you're a minimalist! The upstairs bedrooms do share a bathroom, and that bathroom doesn't have a door, so that absolutely needs to be taken into consideration if you're a large group of people thinking of staying there! The smaller of the two rooms upstairs has two single beds, and not much other space, with a sloping roof. Very much a room for only sleeping in, and better suited to children. A great bonus was that a hot tub was installed just prior to our visit, and we enjoyed making use of that on several occasions. It was very hot, so not something you'd sit in for very long, but certainly enjoyable! Our main problem with this house is that whilst it is advertised as having wifi, which is technically does, it was incredibly weak and basically didn't work. It was enough for the occasional text message, but even things like emails and messages via facebook messenger weren't downloading at the house - they all flooded in when I connected to wifi at the pub down the road. One of our party had an important skype meeting set up for during our stay, and had to go elsewhere to do that, which was very inconvenient. I think that having the property advertised as having wifi is misleading, as it was ineffective for us."

"Heather is a warm and welcoming host, calling a few days beforehand to let us know about local walks and things to do in the area. The house was warm, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook. The showers were hot and had great pressure. Heather left us with a welcome hamper, which everyone appreciated. There were 5 of us - 2 adults and 3 children (14, 12 and 10) and our elderly dog. It is a peaceful location (especially since there is no mobile reception and the WiFi is quite poor). If you have young children, there are a lot of fiddly bits in the house (ornaments / clutter) that I would worry that young curious children could destroy. The garden is not enclosed or secure. The ad says that the boundary fence in the garden may not be secure for small pets. It definitely wasn't as a ram kept visiting the property daily causing a bit of stress for our dog.The kitchen table only allows 4 to sit at it. For more than that, you can use the dining room / conservatory, but you have to carry your food through the house to get to it, which is on the other side of the house. There is a washing machine and a dryer to use. The owner asks for a discretionary charge of £2 / wash and dry. The wood burning fireplace was cosy and easy to use and an lovely feature. We had a lovely peaceful time."

"We stayed here last year and were delighted that it was available for the first week of our local school holidays. Our party comprised 2 grandparents, 2 parents, a boy of 7 and 2¾ year old twin boys.We were welcomed by a large chocolate cake, tin full of jam tarts, bottle of red wine and a 2½ dozen tray of eggs. It was also immaculately clean.Facilities excellent as per last year: lots of crockery and cutlery meant no need to dish-wash between meals. The games room was again a bonus, not just for the pool table & darts, but for storage of bikes, double-pushchair etc. Garden area is good though we did have one incident of the 7 year old treading in some dog poo which had appeared while we were out.As last year we had to use the recycle bins to block off the "hole" in the wall of the covered seating area, to prevent the twins from escaping into the car park and hence to the road. We did also have one occasion of a black spaniel dog coming into the garden by this route - possibly the poo culprit! One of the twins also learnt how to open the side gate, so we had to insert a small stick through the padlock hole in the latch to stop him escaping. Perhaps it would be advisable to make the garden more escape-proof for little ones."

"We had a lovely stay in the cottage during the February half term with family. When we arrived it was lovely and warm downstairs but very cold upstairs. Spent the first night with lots of blankets on the beds to keep us warm but after a couple of days the heat travelled round the cottage well and kept us lovely and warm. Downstairs fire was great but not really needed as the underfloor heating worked so well!We found the cottage to be equipped with everything you could possibly want. Bedrooms a lovely size. Everything spotlessly clean. The cake, wine, eggs, milk and homemade jam tarts on arrival were a lovely touch!Games available to play (although we never got a chance to use them!) and although quite chilly we did use the games room a couple of nights to play a family game of pool!Good location, lovely surroundings. We did find we couldn’t use the wardrobe in our room as it seemed to be locked and we couldn’t find a key for it! However, with enough other rooms with storage space it didn’t cause too much of an issue. Found the beds very comfy! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay :) thank you."

"It's one of a kind, you really do feel like you're staying somewhere special. Loved the fact that there were 3 bathrooms, that it was clean and when we had a chill night there was Netflix! Not to mention it was close to a lot of places we wanted to explore 30-40mins drive. However if you're going with 4+ adults, someone is gunna have to take the room with the children's bunk bed. We also found that the light doesn't work in that same room and also we tried to find the iron and hairdryer but it we weren't sure where they were. A lot of little things were missing like dishwasher tablets and washing powder but there is literally a small shop just a minute away to grab the essentials. Which we left there for the next group to use.All in all we really loved our stay, it was big enough that we felt like we had our own space. Thank you for having us!"
